We stayed for 2 nights in September. A good location and within walking distance of Stanley Park, the waterfront and shops & restaurants. The room itself, on the 22nd floor, was OK in size and decor but I was happy that we spent most of our time out of the hotel. We did not eat in as there were numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Overall - while I would choose to try other hotels ahead of this one, I would have few qualms if I had to go back to it.

Brilliant location, at the end of one of Vancouver's main shopping streets, it made for a very interesting walk at the end of an evening. Buses stop outside and you can travel very cheaply on them. The room had a wonderful view overlooking the bay and mountains (we were on the 25th floor) and the revolving restaurant on the 42nd floor was where we had breakfast and you could sit and take in all the wonderful scenery as it went around. It made our holiday. Ok, the rooms were maybe a little "tired" but the bed was very comfy and there was plenty of space to move around. All in all it was excellent. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Thrilled to find a hotel in downtown Vancouver for less than $100. Unfortunately, so too did the a high school bus trip. Hotel was alright, except the shoe print on the top of the toilet seat. Comfy bedding, awful in-room coffee. One elevator was out of service and the button to the ice machine on the 22nd floor also didn't work. I thought the staff was professional, although the fact that the housekeeper walked into our room and woke us up only an hour after the high school students left for their trip and we were finally getting back to sleep (they were up all night slamming doors and tossing pillows etc.), indicates that there is little communication between front desk staff and housekeepers. When I worked in house keeping, we were given a list of what rooms had checked out and which ones hadn't so we didn't walk in on people. All in all it was a good deal and close to lots of activities. If you go, take advantage of the surroundings as the hotel room lacked fringes - this was the first hotel I've stayed in in a while that only had Tier 1 cable (25 channels).

I was somewhat sceptical about booking this room looking at tripadvisor but couldn't have been happier. Jock at the front desk was superb and we got a deluxe room on the 34th floor. The room was a very good size and was clean and comfortable. The decor was dated but was in good condition. The views were amazing across the bay - really made the stay. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel room was very disappointing. Although clean and well-maintained, it was not a comfortable stay. The room was very small, had no refrigerator, no Internet access, and there weren't even two sheets on the beds, which were only doubles, not queens. The television was very small and the bathroom had no exhaust fan. The view was poor and the balcony hardly big enough in which to turn around. I have stayed in many hotels for a lot less with many more amenities.
