The Four Seasons Vancouver has a great location and fantastic service. The new restaurant Yew has a unique and tasty menu - would highly recommend!

I got a great rate on a superior room through an obscure travel website. Having read the TA reviews, I wouldn't have booked the room if I hadn't gotten such a great rate. I am glad I did. The service was great, wonderful FS service. We were upgraded upon arrival to a corner room on the 24th floor that had great views. But yes, the room is dated. They are renovating and they need it. The decor is not attractive. The TV/electronics are old. The bathrooms are nothing special like most Four Seasons. But everything else is in place for this hotel. The bed and linens were simply wonderful. Bathroom products and extras are all there. Service is exemplary. The concierge gave me truly great dinner recommendations on two different nights (CinCin and Baru Latino, both HIGHLY recommended). The location is great, right across from the Art Gallery and in the midst of all the shopping. Every employee treated us incredibly nicely. Service was just fantastic.

The new restaurant, Yew, had just opened a week before our mid-December stay. We didn't eat there, but did go to the bar both nights. It is a beautiful, beautiful space. Again, great service.

I would definitely stay again, probably after the renovation, though. Then it will be world-class.

We stayed here as we were on a cruise the following day and this was organised through Princess Cruises (one of the few things they did right, anyway!!!).

We had been booked for a king size room, but upon checkin were upgraded to a suite. The suite was lovely and everything you would expect from such a hotel, (except maybe a better television, it is 2007 after all).

The staff were courteous and always happy to help. We didn't try out many things nearby as we had flown from Australia, through Los Angeles to Vancouver but it looked very pretty.

I was really impressed with the Four Season's service. The bellman radio'd my name to the front desk, so they greeted me by name.

My 20th floor room was elegant. Nice size. Chairs had been recovered. Wood desk and chest are old, but nothing you'd want to see thrown out. Closet includes safe. There's an in-room coffee maker and stocked bar fridge. Popcorn/stucco ceiling.
The evening turn-down service is very useful.

I really enjoyed the indoor-outdoor pool to swim lengths. Used the fitness equipment there one night - and the staff clean off the equipment for you. Saunas are in the change rooms.

A business centre has 2 computers for use day or night. If you can be 14 mins or less, no charge. They track by the centre key you obtain at the front desk.

There are currently some renovations going on the 2nd/3rd floor.
This hotel is part of the Pacific Centre downtown mall.

We chose this property based on our other experiences with The Four Seasons (Maui, Austin, New York, Atlanta) and and we were SHOCKED at the lack of updating. As usual, the staff was flawless, but the property is not comparable to the others we've visited. We were upgraded to a suite, but upon opening the door we discovered it was simply two identical rooms that had a french door knocked out of the common wall. It was mostly quiet, but we could hear the upstairs guests milling about on occasion. The ceiling had the original popcorn acoustic texturing from the 70s. The mini-spa had been updated, but I had to return to the spa desk to request a comb and a razor and the products in the dressing area and showers were very inferior. Attached is a photograph of one of the chairs in our room, which we are giving the "Worst Chair We've Ever Seen in a Four Seasons Award." While Vancouver is a world class destination, this hotel won't be without major renovation.
