The Hotel Le Soleil was fabulous. It was close to the shopping areas,
restaurants, and the strip of bars on Granville. The room itself was clean and
comfortable. There were complimentary white robes provided and dual shower
heads. We had a nice view of the downtown city lights. The concierge was
knowledgeable and courteous. He recommended good restaurants and bars to go to.
There was a reasonable price for valet, but it's the better than finding street
parking. We had a wonderful time in Vancouver.

It has a small but beautiful lobby. The rooms/suites are nicely decorated and
comfortable. The staff are friendly even though not totally knowledgeable as to
driving directions.

Overall, I think this hotel is a true bargain when booked directly from their
website. While I had no view at all on the fifth floor, the size of the suite
more than made up for it. It was really nice to stretch out on the sofa and
chill, watching bad Canadian TV after a big day of walking all over Vancouver.
The pictures posted by other reviewers were quite accurate. The location was
great for shopping and right between two subway stops. Not a hopping lobby or
bar scene, but who wants to party in a hotel anyway? As an American, I found
prices in Vancouver to be be much more than I was used to, but this hotel was a
pleasant surprise for about what I'd pay for a Hampton Inn.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel while in town for a Christmas
party. We thought the decor was fabulous and the room was very well laid out
with a separate seating area. We live locally and stay in Vancouver hotels on
occasion, and we found this one to be one of the best for service, location and
price. Our room only had a shower but that's all I wanted (no time for a bath)
and even though the room overlooked busy Hornby Street, we didn't notice any
noise.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Very good location, right up town within walking distance to some of Canada's
best shopping. However, I was travelling with my husband and two friends. We
booked two rooms, one with a king size bed and balcony. the other two double
beds and a balcony. these reservations were made 3 months in advance. Upon
arrival, we are told there are NO Balconies on this location at all period. Then
my two buddies, one is 6ft6 by the way, are put into a room with two single
beds. The furnishings are beautiful, the bedding exquisite. Absolutely pretty,
however the smallest rooms I have ever seen! I am thinking "boutique" is
synonous with "tiny"!
