Review of the Accent Inn Burnaby

We stayed a total of 11 nights in this hotel. It is in Burnaby right at
the border with Vancouver. We are entirely satisfied: spacious rooms,
nice garden, next to decent restaurant, plenty of parking space but
above all devoted and friendly staff (no exceptions). Always a handyman
around the building. You have a feeling of security, even as you are in
an urban area. When in the area we will pick no other place.

I have been staying at the Accent Inn Burnaby on a monthly basis for the
past 4 years and have nothing but positive things to say about this
hotel. The staff are very friendly and always remember me (even though
I'm only there 1 day out of the month). The rooms are always extremely
clean (I'm very picky too), and the rooms are very comfy. The location
is close to Vancouver and very accessible to the main freeway which
makes it easy to get into the city for meetings and back out again at
the end of the day to where there is enough space to safely park your
car (for free) outside in the very large parking lot. There is lots of
greenery around and feels a little like home away from home. The ABC
Country Restaurant next door has the most amazing meals (I am constantly
amazed at the food they provide; far above expectations) and their
take-out packaging is even all recyclable / environmentally green. I've
never had an issue with the signal strength of the 'free' wireless in
all the rooms and if you watch tv, they have flat screens (many rooms
with 2) that have lots of tv and movie choices. There is also an
exercise room and large hot-tub/sauna for free use and I've used on many
occasions.
Above all, the price is very good as I've stayed in $300+ a night rooms
in downtown Vancouver and they don't compete with the rooms this hotel
offers as you can actually get a quiet night's sleep in this location as
well.
I highly recommend Accent Inn Burnaby to anyone traveling to the
Vancouver area on business or with the family. (I've brought my family
many times and rented the rooms with a full kitchen and separate room.
Very spacious for a family of 4+).
Thank you again,

Stayed for three nights while working in the uptown Vancouver area.
Booked online with a AAA/CAA rate of $123/night.
Good:
+ Convenient location - close to Boundary Loop buses to go into
Vancouver + walking distance to Gilmour Skytrain station
+ A number of well known "chain" restaurants within a 5 minute drive
+ "Understanding" with Steve Nash Fitness Club for discounts on day
passes (very clean & new gym BTW)
+ Comfortable, spacious room - I had a third floor kitchenette single
Queen bed room facing the back of the hotel so noise was not a factor
+ High speed (wireless) was fast
+ Good flat screen TV in room
Bad:
+ Number of guests were smoking on the balconies so hard to avoid some
cigarette smells

We stayed at the Accent inn because it was close to work for my husband.
When we pulled up, we were a little taken aback by the fact that it was
outside entry into our rooms. However, when walking into the room we
were pleasantly surprised. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! The room smelled clean,
looked clean, and though an older hotel, it really surpassed our
expectations. I showed up early and the woman at the front desk was nice
enough to have them clean my room early so I could check in instead of
waiting in the lobby. The drive to downtown Vancouver is also only about
10 minutes away or you can take the skytrain (we choose to drive)
Needless to say if we go to Vancouver again, we will probably stay at
the Accent Inn for guaranteed cleanliness and comfort! Oh and Earl's
restaurant is only a quick walk away, so you can go for drinks and walk
home easily!
My only complaint, the doors tend to slam fairly loudly if you have a
neighbor nearby, but you can't control who is staying next to you. The
noise seemed to contain itself to the daytime though when I was trying
to sneak in a nap ;)

I am from Saskatoon, SK and I stayed here along with my daughter's
soccer team on the Easter weekend. The staff were super friendly, the
rooms were great and we sure loved all the flowers( many of the girls
commented that it looked like summer! ). I am one of the managers of the
soccer team and I was in charge of booking the hotel. I can't say enough
about Anita Fraess, the assistant manager of the hotel. She was very
friendly, professional, and so helpful. The price of the rooms was VERY
reasonable.
I would highly recommend this hotel!
