I was so glad to find a motel within walking distance of the
George Derby retirement home so that I could visit my dad. The
staff were very kind and upgraded my room to one with a fridge.
I truly appreciated that. The breakfast was a nice touch and
completely adequate.

Sadly the place is quite run down and the hallways are very
noisy when people are talking in them. Updating the rooms and
hallways would be a good thing.

The main reason we stayed there was because it was located a
block and a half from my sons home.
The staff was always friendly and informative.

the area was quiet during the evenings, they had cable, friendly
staff, access to taxi
there was dust on the pop offered and the juice was out dated,
room could have been cleaned better, did not get the continental
breakfest and they did not tell us anything about it.

Noting is good on this hotel. It is more looking like a Motel.
It is the worse hotel ever. Extremely expensive. The Breakfast
is Tim Horton Donuts and poor coffee. The room is smelly and
very small even for the double room. Moisture in the bathroom.
They give you extra fee for every thing. No restaurants or
activities close of the hotel.

Our room had a sofa bed, desks and they had wireless internet
access
Very happy with the hotel and service very clean and tidy
premises. courteous and helpful staff
A complimentary breakfast is served each morning. The Happy Days
Inn is a little out of the way so you will need a car but the
parking is free.

After reading reviews here I was quite nervous about staying at
this inn. Out of pure necessity did we book. It was not the
Ritz, but honestly that is not what I expected nor paid for. It
is an older place that could use some freshening up but the
rooms were clean and the staff was very kind to us as we had a
medical emergency while we were there. As far as pricing goes,
like everywhere it was a bit more during the pre Olympics but
all of the hotels were up there. We thank the staff for all they
did for us and for their kind words. Don't go there thinking
that you are going to be staying at the high end hotels of
Vancouver, it is more a Mom and Pop place. Small and actually
surprisingly quiet, I would stay again. |
