Review of the Accent Inn Burnaby

I travelled British Columbia and decided to stay at the Accent Inns all
the way along (when possible) for their unbeatable value and customer
service. I loved the cleanliness, comfortable beds and friendly staff.
Highly recommended.

I loved my stay here. I usually bring my own pillow when I travel, but
this time I forgot it and that turned out great. The pillows were great
and the bed was divinely comfortable. I was also impressed by the
pleasant and inviting interior design of the room. The staff were
outstanding. Really worth my while. I'll be back.

All of the staff were very friendly and responsive to every request or
concern that we had. We stayed 4 nights, ate many meals at the attached
ABC Country Restaurant, which also had excellent food and service. Very
personal. Felt like home. They recognized us and we had meaningful
conversations, not just empty, polite, "small talk". The surroundings
and decor at this hotel are humble, nothing fancy, but everything is
very clean & well-maintained. It is located close to the Sky Train
station, which was very affordable for us to take on our adventures each
day.

We stayed for 3 nights, the location can not be beat! The skytrain is 10
min walk away or they will drive you in their free shuttle. Once on the
sky train it was about 20 mins to get downtown with 1 exchange. The
helpfull women at the front desk gave us a map of the sky train and good
directions. The room had a nice LCD t.v. and a comfortable bed and was
spotless.
One night of our stay we had a guest next door making a racket, we
called the front desk and got a young man who was very helpful, he and a
security guard game up with in 10 mins and everything was quite.
There are a lot of restaurants close enough to walk to. We had a really
bad meal at the ABC on sight both are meals were cold when they came
out. So i would not recommend them.
All In all this is a great place to stay and the staff are
amazing!!!!!!!

I found that the room is small, and I really didn't like the bathroom
sink seperate from the bathroom. Also, kitchen suites are only on the
third level...so if ur not close to the only one elevator they have you
have to climb up 4 flights of stairs! I agree with others the room being
crammed up. Its awfully small for a 4 star hotel. Also the bedding seems
moldy somewhat. Its clean but I found it had a moldy smell. I can't see
this being suitable for ppl who are used to the hiton or executive
suites. Maybe more for students? I don't like the outdoor concept.
Personally. I don't feel safe.

My wife and I have stayed here apx 14 days in past year. The price is
reasonable for what you get, and everything is included in the price
(parking, wireless internet, local calls, TV channels, free shuttle,
coffee, newspaper, etc). We are used to staying in nice 4 star hotels,
so we liked this hotel and found it functional and comfortable. The
staff have always treated us well, and seem to do it with a good
attitude.
The hotel is fairly quiet and is located in a light industrial area,
with easy access to freeway, and walking distance to Starbucks, several
restaurants (ABC, White Spot, Swiss Chalet, Earls), and It is one block
walk to the skytrain. We have found skytrain as an excellent alternative
source of transportation to the malls and downtown, rather than driving
in through the heavy rush hour traffic. Even though the light industrial
area seems safe, we usually like to drive at night, rather than walk
(must be getting older).
The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly (cleaning people,
hotel shuttle, front desk). Our room had a king bed, reasonably modern
decor, with nice lighting. The hotel has an ABC restaurant on the side
(Boundary road), and the food is fine.
