Guest Review of the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Apr 28, 2011 I had a conference at the hotel and it was the perfect location with Metrotown Mall right there as well as the Skytrain if I wanted to go anywhere else. A staff member named Danny was extremely nice and friendly as I stopped him in the lobby to ask for directions. I think he worked in the front desk area but not sure. He was on his way somewhere but he stopped and helped me all with a smile. Guest Review of the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Mar 25, 2011 Stayed this past week at the Hilton Metrotown, Vancouver. This hotel provides typical Hilton Quality in a good area, centrally located about 15-20 minutes from downtown, and about the same distance to the airport. I had a two room suite with a separate bedroom. Both rooms had a 32" flat screen. Bed was very good quality, very comfortable, lots of pillows. The main room also has a good desk area and internet was very fast. I have stayed here before and the single (standard) rooms also have 32" flat screens, same bed and desk area. Bathroom was fairly typical, tub/shower, sink. Water was hot, shower very good and they provided decent shampoo, soap etc. Onsite restaurant/bar, although a little pricy to be honest. The area however does provide a number of dining options. There is also a very large, upscale mall across the street, and if not driving the metro runs very close. Speaking of driving, parking was available underground at, I believe $12. Pricing here is not cheap, however is competitive for Vancouver. Prices will range close to $200 a night with tax, however they run a number of specials and are affiliated with some discount programs. My midweek stay was $152 per night with a AAA auto card. Would certainly recommend this property, especially for the business traveler. Guest Review of the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Mar 14, 2011 We stayed here for 2 nights on a recent trip to Vancouver. I must say that the service was great but the room was not up to what I would say is Hilton Standards. No wine glasses, bar fridge or bath robes. These are items I usually expect of a 4 star hotel. One minor annoyance was the bathroom door that kept slamming behind you and finally just propped open. I have stayed in other Hilton hotels and have always had a nice experience and room but maybe I just had a bad room here. I still have to recommend the hotel based on the great staff and room cleanliness but for amenities it falls short. |
