The lobby is very nice, clean hotel, prompt and friendly service by
front desk staff and bell hop (Arlan). We had unexpected company staying
with us for the first night, and that was not a problem at all. I did
phone the night before arrival and explained the situation, we were
advised to get a double room cause the suite we had purchased for the
two nights didn't accommodate more than four guests, but I waived that
information, and said i didn't mind, and that I would not blame the
hotel for lack of space. They were close friends so cramped quarters was
fine for an evening. We were both given free parking passes and room
keys in case we were separated. The hotel had a bunch of young athletes
staying at the same time. Very sound proof hotel, never heard even a
peep out any of them. It left the sitting area very stuffy, so we didn't
spend much time in the front room. We needed more towels, as there was
only two bath size, so I called down for more, and another blanket as we
had 4 extra guests including two children. The bell hop literally threw
me a ripped blanket, not folded and two clean towels. Even though I
tipped out, I wasn't too impressed with what he gave me, so I showed my
husband and friends... I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel didn't
charge me for the extra people in our suite upon check out. Overall I
would stay here again, I was able to park my van and travel by sky train
all over Burnaby and Vancouver. It took less time by transit to get to
see family then it would have been had I traveled by car. I would give
this hotel a four and a half star rating. Staff for the most part was
very professional, courteous and friendly

This hotel was pleasant in nearly every way, except one: they want you
to pay $10/day for the privilege of using their wired high-speed
internet in your room. It’s not 2002 anymore guys: I expect
connectivity, and I expect it to be free, and ideally it will be
wireless. Although the hotel itself was just fine, I have to dock the
hotel 2 full points for the egregious sin of charging a ridiculously
high fee for internet, in this day and age. The neighborhood is a
heavily commercial area, and is not particularly pleasant. There’s a
mall nearby, several other stores and fast food-ish restaurants of all
types, and a train station. The hotel itself was not the easiest to find
- it’s tucked above the highway a few hundred feet from where the
address appeared to be located on the map.

Would go back
It was a nice hotel and it was close to shopping and downtown. The room
was clean and comfortable bed. We would go back!

Not bad
Not bad for each price. Suite room wasn’t necessarily huge, but adequate
for a family of 3. Not as big as an Embassy Suite room. Although it came
with a jacuzzi, we never used it...partly because it looked quite old.
Front desk friendly. Nice, convenient location.

My wife and I stayed there for five nights between September 8th and the
15th. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you are staying
in the east Vancouver/Burnaby area it is a great location, with very
easy access to the Skytrain Station and local bus routes.
There are several restaurants nearby. Only negative is that they need
free coffee in the lobby and some of the rooms are showing signs of age,
but a good place to stay.
