Stayed three nights during the week. Completely updated hotel--right
down to handrails. The rooms all have new furniture and updated bath.
The rooms are immaculate, everything worked well, and you could not hear
guests unless they were talking outside their rooms. The staff is
incredibly helpful and responsive. I did not have a car, but they have a
van that will take you to nearby restaurants with no hassle.
Biggest issue I have is that it cannot escape it origins. The bathroom
sink/ counter space had the microwave and refrigerator crammed in the
corner next to the sink. The bedding is the old-style shiny quilted
spread that hides stains with a thin mattress pad and sheets that do not
quiet stay tucked under the mattress. While not super noisy you can hear
the Sky Line trains as they pass the hotel. Primary businesses in areas
are car dealerships and studios, not restaurants or shops.
The workout room is a closet. Three pieces of cardio equipment in a
closet! Not my idea of a place to hang out.
I agree with other positive reviewers on the value of this hotel. Given
the very clean, updated rooms, great staff, free wi-fi in rooms, and
competitive price it is a good hotel. Just not my cup of tea and I
recommend it recognizing that it does not personally appeal to me.

I chose this hotel because it is a convenient location for me. The front
desk staff (upon arrival) was excellent. The room looked clean and
adequate for my needs, so all looked good. When I got back from
Christmas visiting for my sleep, it was when the disappointment started.
The heating unit was one of those junky ones that is supposed to
provided cooling and heating (Amana, I think). It kicked in all night,
very frequently, disrupting my sleep. You would think they would have
some kind of noise standard for these things!
If that wasn't bad enough, after a maybe 3 hour sleep, 7 am came and a
small dog below me barked constantly and was still barking when I
checked out at 10:30ish.
I should have know better when I saw their dog friendly billboard.
Granted it was an inconsiderate owner's fault, but this probably happens
more than they would admit.
The checkout front desk staff was not nearly as good, and basically told
me she is aware of the dog problem, they had other complaints and I
should have let her know sooner. She then offered me a 10 dollar off
coupon, which I declined. Why would I want to stay with them again?
No good for me.

We have stayed at this hotel/motel a few times, and with every visit it
gets better. We were visiting family over the Christmas holidays, and on
Christmas day when there was nothing open for breakfast, this hotel had
the foresight to have coffee, muffins & pastries in the lobby for those
that wanted a little something to eat. We find the staff very friendly,
and helpful. I had not taken my laptop with me, and found out there was
an important message waiting for me. That is when I was told there was a
computer in the lobby for me to use for free. Where does this ever
happen.
This is a great place to stay!!! Very clean, comfortable, and
affordable!

I absolutely loved the Accent Inn. In fact, I took the rubber ducky they
provide just so I could remember the great time I had in the country. It
was my first time in Vancouver and they had some great advice on the
nightlife and overall, fun to be had. I absolutely will go back there
again.

We stayed the night at the accent inn for a Canucks game coming from
Victoria. Location was close to skytrain 5-10min takes you right to the
stadium. One bonus was that you are able to bring a pet for a small fee.
Tv didn't work in our room and they weren't able to fix it. They
wouldn't offer any discount for the problem. Okay at best 2 star.

We had the junior suite, which has a bedroom separated from the seating
area by wall, no separate door. The rooms were very clean and the hotel
is environmentally conscious, e.g., it provided recycle and trash
baskets. The suite was not fancy, but the value for the rooms was great.
Internet was easy to connect with and fast. It had the benefit of a
restaurant on the same premises. We did not use the sauna, but there is
one. We were accorded a noon checkout without any hassles. The location
was nothing special, but it was close to our son's apartment, which is
why we will stay here again.

I stay here regularly. It's like visiting with family. Minor problems,
like burned out light bulb and TV reset, have always been dealt with
quickly and with no hassles. The rooms are clean, quiet and reasonable.
Okay, the location isn't the closest to Vancouver night life, but it's
an easy walk to the skytrain and you can get downtown in 20 minutes.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was perfectly
comfortable - had everything I needed, including a fridge and microwave.
The location is excellent, both for driving and for catching public
transit. |
