GREAT bang for your buck. Service excellent. Quiet comfortable rooms, VERY
clean, easy and free parking, close to restaurants and eateries. We stay there
when we visit our daughter, an SFU student. Can't beat the location. The sports
bar / restaurant associated with the hotel is friendly and not in the least bit
sketchy. You will be pleased with your find!
Room Tip: If you have mobility issues, there is no elevator to my knowledge. All
the rooms are one floor up from street level (stairs-accessible).)

The HoJo Burnaby Boutique was the perfect hotel for our stay. The room was
incredible and the people, and the service they provided, was top-notch.
The hotel has amazing history, which is easily reviewed in the adjoining pub.
The Admiral pub is covered in historic photos and captions, of the early years
of Burnaby's Hastings Street and the Admiral, now Howard Johnson, hotel.
The pub offered a delicious choice of food, but if that didn't suffice, the
hotel is located within walking distance of numerous delicious eatries.
After a nice meal, we looked forward to relaxing in the extremely comfortable
room and enjoying a great night's sleep.
I highly recommend the HoJo Burnaby Boutique.
Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the parking lot or the west wing - it's not over
the pub,, so will be quieter.

This was our best stay in Canada. From the moment we walked up to the desk to
check in, Marie made us feel comfortable and important. We were escorted to our
room, which was a first for us, and asked if there we had any special needs or
information. A few minutes later she returned with a basket of fruit,
compliments of the hotel. The room was large enough with modern styling and a
very comfortable bed. Extra pillows were delivered by Marie in short order with
a smile. She is a gem of an employee. Our room overlooked the street, which to
our surprise the traffic noise did not bother us at all. Restaurants and markets
are everywhere within walking distance. Overall, an excellent hotel, staff and
location.

We stayed in Howard Johnson because we thought we were going to stay in Canada
only two days but we changed our mind and we requested only one night, for the
hotel was completely booked the next night. The room was so very clean, modern
and the service was excellent.
Room Tip: So Clean & Excellent Service

My mom, sister, and I have stayed at this hotel twice now, and will probably
make this our choice hotel for future visits to the area. There's nothing you
could complain about with this hotel. The service is amazing, each time they
walk you up to your room, show you where everything is, then bring you a fruit
basket after you're settled in. It has a free breakfast - scrambled eggs,
sausage, waffles, yogurt, cereal and such. Free wifi and free parking. The rooms
are beautiful, all hardwood floors, big comfy beds with beautiful fresh white
linens and lots of unique decorations. The second time we went, the bathroom was
definitely upgraded compared to the first one - maybe they are re-doing them
all? Although the hotel is on Hastings, we never felt uncomfortable walking from
the parking lot, and both times we got there later, maybe 10pm and it was all
fine. For the price we always see this hotel at - usually around $110, you
really cannot possibly find anything better for value than this hotel. |
