Hotel review of the Best Western Plus Chelsea Inn Coquitlam

Front desk person was nice and helpful. The carpets in the hall to the elevator
was very dirty. The carpet in the room had stains on it, (wasn't sure if it was
safe to take my shoes off. The sheets did not fit on the mattress, the bed was
lopsided and the pillows were small. The room also stank of something.

We are non smokers, and the management assured us that all rooms were
non smoking, how ever our room stunk so bad we could hardly sleep, the
room also look sort of run down and could seriously use and upgrade of
new furniture's.
Hotel is also located on very busy and noisy intersection and Canada 1
hwy so if you sleep well in noisy conditions this would be a good place.

I stayed at the best western from the Okanagan for a concert, so made a
weekend of it. We got the family suite and were so happy with
everything. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL ROOM.
Breakfast was included and it wasn't just a dinky "continental"
breakfast...it actually made us full.
I would recommend this place to anyone that is travelling to the Coast
for business or pleasure!

Basement hall over crowded with linen containers terrible for BW motel
Under park looks like dump Motel is like on a very busy street right at
Canada hwy 1 entrance, hospital 1 km away lots of noise from cars motor
bikes and ambulances, on east front side of building, on rear side have
noisy garbage trucks early morning 07:00 am.
Windows are in terrible condition should be replaced.
Over all motel is low quality considering it's a BW facility.

Very good room -- a/c worked well and was very comfortable. Will
definitely return.
I do a lot of traveling and have seen plenty of dives so it was a
pleasure to stay here where the room was tired but well kept and clean.
Noise could be an issue in the summer but the front desk kept plenty of
space between clients. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I'd book
there again if in the area. Albeit on the top floor.

Not quite up to the star rating I expected. While a bit far from
Vancouver's main attractions, this hotel was just a short walk (1/4
miles along a very busy highway and over a busy interchange) from a
skyway station that took us right into the heart of town. We bought a
day pass on the transit; left the car at the hotel (free parking that
far out of the city, you're in the burbs) the hotel was clean and nice.
Just not what I expected from a 3-rated hotel and the location was a
surprise for its distance out. In the end, I was not sorely
disappointed, just thought I could have done better price wise by
myself. I will say that rooms in Vancouver are dear at the height of the
season and I booked late. This hotel however, did not show up on the
list of hotels while I was searching.

My friends and I stayed at the Chelsea Inn during the Olympics and were
pleasantly surprised with our stay. First of all the front desk clerk who
checked us in was kind and courteous and went out of her way to make us feel at
home. We had not traveled on public transit in Vancouver before and the close
proximity of the Skytrain station and the great instructions by the hotel staff
allowed us to move around Vancouver with ease.
The room was spacious, well appointed, and above all very clean. In the morning
we took advantage of the free continental breakfast which was an excellent start
to our day.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
