Vancouver Carol Ship Parade of Lights
Carol Ships
'Parade of Lights' Society began 50 years ago with one boat
decorated with Christmas lights in Coal Harbour at the
Westin
Bayshore Hotel Vancouver downtown.
On peak evenings, this
holiday tradition has grown to more than 80 decorated boats, with in
excess of 150,000 lights, and carries over 45,000 people during the 23
night festival. Along with many community-based shore side celebrations,
more than 200,000 people each year enjoy the parade.

shores of beautiful Deep Cove this holiday season, where we'll be
gathering in Panorama Park on Saturday, December 19th at 8:00pm to watch
the Carol Ships sail by. Sing and dance with Tom Arntzen and the Rockin'
Christmas Trees while enjoying a warm and festive evening of music,
refreshments, free craft workshops (while supplies last), a blazing
bonfire and beautiful lights. Santa himself may even stop by!
Please bring donations of non-perishable foods or toys in support of the
Family Services of the North Shore Christmas Bureau and the North Shore
Harvest Project. For more information, please call 987-PLAY (7529).
