We only stayed here one night, but we were very happy with this hotel. It was very clean & the staff helpful & friendly. The rooms were roomy & up to date.
We ate breakfast at the restaurant. The service & food was good.
It is in a great location with walking distance to many shops, restaurants, & Stanley Park.
We will look into staying here again whenever we will return to Vancouver.

My companion and I just returned from Vancouver. We stayed at the Blue Horizon Hotel and really enjoyed it. The room was located on the back corner, 21st floor, allowing a glimpse of the water from both the room and private balcony. The room was very clean, quite and has a safe in the closet. I was not disappointed, this is coming from a person who is VERY particular. We were in town the week the Vancouver Canucks beat Boston. There was unbelievable, fun-hearted celebrations in the streets and all around us. You can't beat the price for the location of this hotel. You are in the heart of downtown and you can actually walk to Stanley park. Vancouver is an expensive city for tourist, many of the attractions are quite pricey.
Tip: If you wish to visit Vancouver from Seattle and not drive. I highly recommend "Quick Shuttle" charter bus service. They are affordable, convenient, clean and the drivers are very friendly. They drop you off at your hotel and pick you up there. Can't beat it! We boarded the bus at the Seattle airport.

My husband and I just returned from our stay at the Blue Horizon. This is actually our second visit to this hotel. We visited last summer with our son and were upgraded from a 2 queen bed room to a family suite which was awesome. This time we had a regular room with a king bed. This is a very nice, centrally located hotel. It is right on Robson Street downtown Vancouver. It is very reasonably priced for the area that it is in. We are from British Columbia, so we had our car, but you can walk to many great shopping areas and Stanley Park very easily. We also noticed there are free shuttle buses that stop in front of the hotel that will take you to various attractions. Capilano Suspension Bridge, and Grouse Mountain were two that we saw. If you do have a vehicle, parking is both underground or above ground right on site for 15$ per day. It seems to be a safe area, and there is a security guard in the parking area during the day... not sure about the night. There was no valet service and you can come and go as you please.
I would recommend requesting an upper floor as this is a downtown area and is very busy and bustling. We were on the 28th floor and it was fairly quiet, but you do still hear traffic noise. The hotel itself was very quiet. It is not a fancy upscale hotel, but it is kept spotlessly clean. There was no wireless internet in our room, we had to plug into an ethernet connection. The internet was a bit sketchy, had a few problems getting online a couple of times, but it did work. The only other complaint I had was the fitness room is small. One treadmill, one elliptical and one exercise bike. The machines are in the same room as the lap pool, so it is VERY hot while exercising.
This is a very nice place to stay if you want to be in the heart of the action, and don't expect fancy decor.
One other tip I can offer is you may wish to bring your own shampoo and conditioner . There is a body gel/ shampoo dispenser in the shower but no separate bottles of shampoo. There are bottles of body lotion, hairdryer, and bathrobes in the room. Also a coffee maker. We bought our own instant coffee from Starbucks as we find hotel coffee is usually nasty.
If you are planning a trip to downtown Vancouver, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: request an upper floor.. better views, less noise.

We stayed herd for tree nights on the first leg if our holiday to Canada in June. We choose the hotel based on location and the reviews on trip advisor and where not disappointed.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Located about 10mins walk from Stanley Park, right on Robson Street, which is the main shopping street in downtown Vancouver. Although very central, our room on the 23rd floor was very quiet. The room we had was huge, although for the size if the room the bathroom was quiet small. We had breakfast in the hotel one day, which cost around $10 each, which was average price in downtown.

We used the parking lot on our last night, which cost us $15 dollars (fairly expensive).

Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful when we had a few questions about directions and bus routes etc.

All in all a good stay in a great location.
