Guest Review of the Coast Plaza Hotel Vancouver

We stayed here because of the location and because it had a pool. I was
surprised at the rundown look of the room and the bedding, drapes, etc. for the
price we paid. Because we used travel reward points, we didn't have much of an
out-of-pocket charge, but pricey it was.
The room was clean and comfortable and had a nice sized tv, but don't expect
duvets and beautiful carpet.
We enjoyed the location which was only a couple of blocks to the ocean and
Denman Street is lined with restaurants, cafes and specialty food stores. We
walked to Robson where all of the shopping seemed to be.
It has underground parking as well, which was handy.

Hotel room came w/ a microwave and refrigerator. Many grocery stores in the
area. Coffee that came w/ the room unusually good. The hotel staff made our stay
memorable w/ its efficiency and graciousness! The hotel is at an excellent
location--lots of great walking, stores, wonderful park, etc. We were extremely
pleased with the hotel staff and location and would definitely stay there again!

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a 15 day tour of Canada and it was
certainly on the better side of some of the hotels we'd stayed in. Rooms are
very large - we were on the 12th floor and had great views over the city and
mountains.
Our room had a kitchen, decent size lounge area and a lovely king size bed. The
bar in the hotel was excellent - very friendly, traditional Canadian bar with
bands at the weekends, friendly staff and decent food. They were very happy to
do a special menu for my mother in law who is a coeliac and needed gluten free.
Their pizza is ordered by ticking off on the form what you want - interesting
idea, bit wasteful on paper BUT the pizza was lovely.
Would certainly stay here again and even if I wasn't would pop in the bar!

I travel for business and choose to stay at the
Coast Plaza on a regular basis.
The accommodations are comfortable, location is incredible, clean rooms,
friendly staff. Very much a home like atmosphere and yet has all the amenities
you could want.

You just can't beat the location of this hotel. .situated beside
Stanley Park,
English Bay allowed us to enjoy nature ,fresh air and incredible views after a
day of work.
The West End is so interesting with great restaurants and it is such a safe
place to enjoy a stroll. Its like a resort town within the city.
The hotel is older but VERY CLEAN and very friendly. My room had a great new bed
and new sliding doors onto the balcony. The hotel continues to improve and
invest in their property.
Our company will continue to make this property and location our first choice
when attending Vancouver for business and pleasure.

Outstanding staff at this hotel. Excellent location for a beautiful vacation.
Was a great stay, had all the facilities I needed - was able to cook my own

We were in Vancouver for the marathon last weekend - this hotel was not awesome
for us because they would not extend our checkout time from noon to 2pm. We'd
asked in advance if this was possible and the person said that 'it should be no
problem'. Well, it was a problem and there was no way around it. It's a nice
hotel in a great location, but they were not so awesome when it came to helping
us out with the marathon logistics - needless to say, it was stressful and we
wished we'd stayed somewhere else. Also, no mini-bar, so no mini fridge to save
snacks. Additionally, as an FYI, the only parking option with this hotel is
valet. |
