Review of the Georgian Court Hotel Vancouver

We had a lovely stay at Georgian Court in May 2011.
The staff were very friendly on greeting us and helped us find some late night food places nearby.
The rooms were lovely with a very comfy bed and great bathroom!
Only downfall was the noise to be heard from other rooms through the walls and the construction going on all night over the road at the stadium.
The hotel was close to the city, with a leisurely 10 min walk to get there.
We will definitely stay again- with ear plugs- if we make it back to Vancouver!

We stayed here to attend a concert at Rogers Arena. It was in walking distance.
We bought the Bed and Breakfast package. The breakfasts were good but a little boring. Since we were staying there 3 nights we had the same breakfast 3 days in a row (sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit). Next time I'd just get the breakfast one day and go somewhere else for the rest of the days just to get a little variety. It would have been nice if they did something a little different each day (e.g. pancakes, french toast, waffles) like many other B&Bs. The 'shuttle' service is only a shuttle downtown locations and NOT the airport. It makes me wonder why they ask for airplane flight numbers - arrival and departure times on their web reservation system...a bit deceptive. Overall we'd stay here again but probably not pay the extra bed and breakfast fee. Probably one of the best places we've stayed at in Vancouver so far.

We stayed at this hotel over the Memorial Day weekend. We got a corner junior suite and the room was perfectly suited for our needs. We have a 1 year old and the spacious suite allowed her to run around. The room was very clean and spacious, with 2 50 inch LCDs in the living room and bedroom. For value and cleanliness, I don't think this hotel can be beat in Vancouver.

I have slept on beds in Cuba that were softer than at this hotel. So hard I had to double fold the duvet and sleep on top to have a bit of comfort. The little sign left on my bed said I have been given a choice of firm or soft pillows - there were no firm pillows - asked for one but it wasnt really firm either. The phone in my room said it was Room 313 when in fact I was in room 315. Took me awhile to realize (when I called room service) that this was wrong (I had left my room number for numerous people and was wondering why I was not getting any calls) Emailed the customer service rep about this and have yet to hear back (3 days later) Also wireless internet didnt work so well - kept getting knocked off. First day there the internet was down most of the afternoon/evening. So much for their "LEGENDARY" service. NEXT!!

We arrived at 8.30am from our Alaskan Cruise thinking we would just have to leave our luggage for at least 6 hours to find our room was available. This was so good. The free business centre with use of internet was great after paying quite a bit for internet use at the Fairmont Hotels over the last 2 weeks! Location was good, access to Robson Street, Gas Town and China town within easy walking disance. We would recommend this hotel to any Australians looking for a good value hotel.

We stayed at this hotel both pre- and post- a cruise to Alaska. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful at all times and very knowledgeable when asked for recommendations for restaurants, or the cost of taxi journeys. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were so comfortable! A quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of the pick-up point for the hop-on, hop-off bus/trolley city tours, and also close to other sightseeing 'musts'. Breakfast in the linked restaurant was very good value and plentiful. Definitely a good choice if you want - as we did - to be somewhere different from the high-rise hotels in the downtown area.
