The reception staff, AWESOME. My Room, very small but it met all my
needs. The linen quality was DIVINE! I had a small deck overlooking the
ocean that was breathtaking. I caught the sunset and the sunrise. What
more could you ask for. (Rm # 308) highly recommended, any of the rooms
that face the sea would give you the same view.
The restaurant was WORLD Class!! I have traveled the world and i can say
this ranks in the top 10.
I rented a bike room the hotel and i recommend this as a route to see
the island however i say go first thing in the morning as opposed to the
afternoon. Much less people and you can speed around with ease.
thank you for a grand stay!!

The Granville Island Hotel was overall really nice. The room itself was
clean, the bathroom was very modern, and the views of the water/harbor
were very pretty. The hotel's bar and restaurant were both very nice,
offered good food and beverages. The staff were all very friendly and
helpful.
The only reason I did not give it 5 out of 5 stars is because of its
location. Granville Island was a little too touristy for me. It features
a children's carnival, which is great for families, but not very
appealing to business travelers. There also is not a commuter train stop
on Granville Island, so you have to pay for a taxi or water taxi if you
don't have a rental car. All of that said, I would still stay here
again, but would be prepared for needing cash for taxis.

My wife and I had a wonderful time visiting the Granville Island and
staying at the Grandville Island Hotel was a primary factor. The Hotel,
its location, staff and service was exceptional making our visit a
memorable experience. We are planning to visit Vancouver again in late
summer or early fall and will definitely stay the Granville Island
Hotel.
Room Tip: Ask for a waterfront room; the view is spectacular

You just can't beat the location in the center of Vancouver right on the
shores of False Creek. I've been back many times since the first of the
year. The staff are friendly, service is good. Most of the rooms have
fantastic views of the harbor, boat traffic and the Vancouver skyline.
The hotel should go through and upgrade all showers to the same upscale
standard and some of the wall mounted air conditioners need to replaced
or updated. The food is quite good given the many high quality
alternatives in Vancouver. My only suggestion is they should bag deep
fried potatoes with breakfast and go with herb roasted red potatoes - a
much healthier choice.

I regularly stay at the Granville Island Hotel and I'm never
disappointed. The location is great, you can walk to the Granville
Island market for great shopping and there are lots of restaurants,
theatres and art venues nearby. The beautiful setting on the banks of
False Creek with leisure boats at dock in the marina is lovely. The
hotel itself is a quiet, relaxing refuge within the big city, yet
conveniently close to downtown, the west end, Yaletown, Kitsilano etc.
The only negative point about the hotel is that parking is sometimes
difficult to find.
