Hotel Reviews of the Hyatt Regency Hotel Vancouver

This
Hyatt hotel was great for business travel and would be equally appealing
for personal trips. The room was spacious and well equipped. The staff
were friendly and knowledgeable regarding restaurants, etc. While my
room was not ready when I arrived, the front desk personnel were
apologetic and offered to call me as soon as it was available, and, if
fact, did call within a short time. The restaurant was good for
breakfast, though just ok at dinner, . However, there is so much in the
area that visitors should be encouraged to venture out for a meal
outside of the hotel. The spa that is attached to the hotel is great -
do try to sneak away for a treatment of some sort.

I stayed in this hotel for six nights. My room was clean, comfortable,
spacious, and well appointed. The bed was particularly comfortable and
had very new bedding on it. The room contained a small refrigerator that
was handy (and not stocked with over-priced treats), and a nice work
desk with both wired and wireless internet connections (extra charge to
use). I had an excellent city view from the 23rd floor. I ate breakfast
in the 2nd floor Mosaic restaurant each day, and that was quite good,
though a pricey alternative if it had not been included in my room rate.
(For cheaper options, there is a McDonald's and a nice Tim Hortons
immediately next to the hotel entrance and Starbucks nearby.) The hotel
is well positioned near several of the downtown shopping centers (e.g.
Royal Centre and Pacific Centre Mall), Robson Street shopping and many
restaurants, the Vancouver Art Gallery, and some good restaurants on
Burrard and Thurlow Streets (e.g. Kamei Royal, Joe Fortes, The Keg). The
hotel is directly next door to the Burrard Skytrain station and a short
walk to the Vancouver City Centre station, which collectively connect to
much of Vancouver and the YVR airport; the trains are easy to navigate
and a much cheaper way to get to and from the airport than a taxi or
rented car. (Vancouver parking can be expensive, and I would not
recommend renting a car unless you plan a side trip to beautiful
Victoria or Whistler.) It is a short walk from the hotel to the harbor.
If you are interested in bicycling in Stanley Park, which I'd highly
recommend, it is a bit longer walk (~0.8 miles) down West Georgia or
Robson Streets to the many bicycle rentals on Denman Street. Vancouver
is a beautiful city, and the Hyatt is well-located to take advantage of
the many things to do there.

Stayed at the Hyatt overnight, checked in at 8 am. (not expecting room
to be ready) and it was not. but went back after lunch and Bag and Room
were already set up. Thanks for a very nice comfortable room. Erin at
Front Desk was awesome.

This was my first trip to Vancouver in many years. I came in a couple of
days early to explore the city prior to a conference. I fly into YVR and
at the suggestion of a very nice lady at the info desk; I took the Sky
Train to the Waterfront station. The train trip in was very quick and it
was only a short walk to the hotel. I spoke with a number of others
attending the conference and they said it took 45 minutes to an hour to
get to the hotel. I highly recommend taking the train.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted by the doorman who directed me
to the front desk. Check in was quick and informative. The person
checking me in even walked me to the elevator and pushed the button.
This is the first time experiencing this. Elevators are quick so the
wait is never long. Upon reaching my floor, I made my way to my room
passing a room attendant who greeted me with a smile. After entering the
room, there was a knock at the door from the room attendant asking if
everything was ok in my room, which it was.
The room was very up to date, extremely clean and a pleasure to stay in.
Each day, my room was clean to a very high standard. The gym and pool
area in the hotel is on par with many of the hotel gyms that I have used
during my travels. I ate at a couple of different restaurants in the
hotel and the food was very good and served quickly. All the staff that
I encountered during my stay were very professional and pleasant to deal
with. They are more than happy to assist you and provide you with local
knowledge, even where was the safest place to go for a run at 4 in the
morning. (My body was still on east coast time).
I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and it certainly deserves
a 5 star rating.

The Hotel is located within walking distances of every place in downtown
Vancouver - Robson Street, Gas Town, Art Gallery, Cathedral, Train
Station etc..., The staff is very polite, well trained, and prompt at
their services. The room we stayed was spacious, clean and an allergy
free room which we received for an upgrade at a minimalistic cost
difference while checking in. The breakfast options are amazing theres a
Tim Hortons and Mc Donalds right besides the hotel open 24 hours to grab
a quick bite. There is an express check out facility which is excellent
just tick the forms and leave it with the Reception Staff and your
Credit Card is debited for the payment, its real quick and easy.
I personally like this hotel because it has a tourist bus stop right
behind the hotel, this stop is largely used by all tour companies like
The Big Bus company, The Trolley company, Land and Sea Tours, Free
Shuttles to Capilano, Grouse Mountain etc..., thus making it extremely
easy to roam around the city and visit tourist attractions. The other
things that make this hotel a great place to be in is the proximity to
good restaurants, awesome shopping and great night life of the city.

Outstanding professional and courteous service, lovely but simple rooms,
paper-thin walls.
My son and I had to change rooms at approximately 9pm when a group of
young women checked into the room beside us. Truth be told, it was clear
they were not truly partying. Regardless, I could hear every
over-excited word and sing along to Lady Gaga (were I so inclined). In
the room we moved to, it was also possible to hear the neighbors
talking although they were speaking at a more moderate volume and it was
not really disturbing.
The staff at the hotel were exceedingly gracious, professional and
accommodating.
I would try a mid-week stay here if I were traveling on business and the
price was right, but never again on the weekend for me.
