Guest Review of the Loden Hotel Vancouver

Just returned from a 'girls" time in Vancouver. We usually stay
at another downtown hotel and decided to try somewhere different
this time. What a nice surprise, the neighborhood was fabulous,
close walking distance to everything we needed, restaurants,
shopping, theatre and the water front. The staff were all so
welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. It was the last game of
the Stanley Cup playoffs and the staff in the restaurant
attached did all they could to get us a place to sit to watch
the game. Our room was so comfortable, fabulous bathroom, good
lighting, lots of room in the room itself. Comfortable beds,
good, quiet air conditioning as well as a window that opened.
Anything we needed was brought up right away to the room, no
waiting around.
The staff tried to do their best to accommodate transportation
to and from the theatre for us, we were given good information
and acted upon it. Unfortunately the Vancouver riots happened
and we had to walk back to the hotel as there were no cabs .
Upon arrival back the front desk staff was very concerned and
happy that that we had made it back safely. We could not hear
any of the riot noise at all once back in the hotel and we felt
very safe. It is a very quiet neighborhood.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, traveler, business
person, weekend get-away....ticks off all the boxes for
me...I'll be back for sure.

This hotel provides a full-service luxury alternative to staying
at the Fairmont or other luxury/business hotels in downtown
Vancouver. The hotel is a little off the beaten path but is
still an 8-minute walk to the Vancouver Convention Centre. It's
a quoted hideout if you ate on a busy schedule. The hotel is a
mere 3 minutes from Coal Harbour.
The rooms are fresh, new and well taken care of on a twice-daily
basis. Operable windows and lots of natural daylight make this
facility a restful place to stay. The restaurant downstairs is a
recent and fantastic place to eat.

what a fabulous hotel and incredible service! the airlines
tweaked my mothers wheelchair completely bending one of the
locking pins. it seemed hopeless but the manager took it down to
engineering and 10 minutes later, I couldn't even tell you which
pin had been bent. incredible! it made what was looking like a
disaster of a vacation into a superb vacation - thank you thank
you thank you!

After a first small problem, every think was great. The

as quite as you can dream.

Family stayed in 2 rooms for $400+/room/night. It certainly is a
clean very chic hotel, but I would not recommend it for a family
with small children. On a business trip, conference, or getaway
with your significant other, it's nice.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of accommodation for the little
ones. Case in point: When we first arrived hungry and tired, and
asked for child-appropriate setting, we got sent to a bar full
of cheering raucous patrons watching the Stanley Cup finals.
Definitely not an appropriate place for hungry and tired kids.
Even though we were the only people in the lobby, the entire
checking in experience seemed a bit stand-offish.
The wireless Internet would not connect with my AirPort but
would with my iPhone and iPad, which was a bit weird.
Overall the rooms are nicely appointed, with sort of a chic
slightly retro feel (mostly due to the dark wood paneling that
reminds me of some basements). Bathrooms are large. The king bed
is pretty comfortable. But I don't think I ever got over the
rather cold initial reception and the wild goose chase they sent
us on.

I stayed at this hotel in late May with my partner for a
vacation in Vancouver. We absolutely loved the hotel. The room
was beautiful and modern with great wall-to-ceiling windows
offering a nice modern touch to the room. The service at the
hotel was impeccable, with the staff willing to help you at
every second. A nice touch was that they offer free bike rentals
-- I would definitely recommend taking advantage of this and
cruising out to beautiful Stanley Park which is nearby.
Don't come here expecting a Vegas-style resort, however. The
hotel is very small, and only has 1 restaurant, but if you know
that ahead of time I think you will greatly enjoy this property.
Can be a bit pricey though, i.e. paying for internet that should
be free.

Centrally located to shopping, dining, and the waterfront. The
staff made us feel welcome from the check in to the check out.
New contemporary metro design. Very quiet. |
