If you need a place to stay while attending the Cancer Clinic or the
Hospital, this is the place. My wife and I received all the care and
attention needed to get us through her Cancer treatments. The room was
clean, quiet and comfortable and had a great view. I recommend you pay
the charge for a City view. The restaurant served a very good breakfast
at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend this hotel....

A perfectly adequate budget hotel, with two exceptions:
1. Some of the front desk staff need a little polish; and
2. The hotel copies and retains your picture ID, a policy that is deemed
unnecessary and inappropriate by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner
for Canada

We stayed at this hotel to be close to the hospital. It is an older
hotel but the room was clean and comfortable. Our room faced the street
and the traffic was noisy. Overall an OK visit.

Stayed here for the weekend with wife to visit family and friends.
Checked in quite late after 11pm but they still have rooms facing the
front ($10 extra). Got the room on the fifth floor with two double beds.
This hotel had been around for a long time dating back when I was living
here more than 30 years ago but the interior had been renovated a couple
years ago so at least the hotel did not feel outdated. The room was
pretty basic but clean. The beds and sheets were quite comfortable. Got
decent water pressure in the shower and the air-con unit worked well.
Noise level was quite noticeable even though we were on the fifth floor.
Not sure why the hotel did not upgrade all the windows and sliding doors
to double pane ones during renovation. Cost saving I guess. One benefit
of being old structure is that each room has a small balcony which
allows for smoking outside and also good to step out to enjoy the view.
The view out looking at the downtown area was impressive. In fact it's
better than the views in the 4/5* hotels downtown. Well, it's a tradeoff
between good view or traffic noise. Two complimentary water bottles and
free wifi were definitely appreciated. But it would be nice to have an
in-room safe as well. Another concern is the open parking lot where with
a few warning signs about preventive measures against car break-ins.
This was a little worrisome for us even though nothing was left in our
rental car.
Overall, we had a comfortable stay at this property. Nothing fancy but
serve the need to crash at night as we were out most of the time anyway.
Vancouver has grown quite a bit since I lived here a long time ago but
it still remains such lovely city with friendly people, wonderful food
and culture. Tips: check out Thomas Hass for pastries and chocolates,
and 49th Parallel for coffees. Really high quality and delicious stuffs.
Both are pretty close by the hotel, on W. Broadway in Kitsilano
neighborhood. Also, Lupo at Yaletown for fine Italian dining experience.

The Park Inn on West Broadway is one " Hell of a place to stay. " I
travel to Vancouver every three months to stay and they do have a great
place to stay. The rooms are clean, every room has a balcony view and as
for sleep, if you get a room in the back it might be okay or a room
higher then the 3rd floor will prompt a good sleep. As Vancouver General
Emergency is in the back up one block, you may have to get use to the
blaring sirens of ambulances all night and all day. It is still a nice
place to stay. Everyday at a certain time they put out fresh apples for
customers and you get a fresh bottle of water everyday in your room. A
newspaper delivered every morning, and the staff are very cordial and
take care of your needs if they can.
