Guest Review of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel

We stayed here for 3 nights after our Alaskan Cruise and found that it
was a great central location for exploring Vancouver. With our Hop on -
Hop Off Trolley pass, we were able to see Stanley Park, Granville
Island, Gastown, Yaletown, Chinatown and have a general tour of the
area. The stop for the Red Line is right out front of the Sheraton.
Our room in the North Tower had a great view of the downtown and
surrounding mountains. We found the hotel to be quiet and very clean.
Our room was spacious enough for our needs with coffee maker, iron &
ironing board, very comfortable bed & pillows and the usual toiletries.
We found the staff at the front desk and concierge desk to be very
helpful with our questions about the area.
If you like oysters, try Relish restaurant just around the corner from
the Sheraton. They have a "buck a shuck" from 3-6 p.m. daily. If you
leave the front door of the hotel, turn right and go to Nelson Street,
turn right on Nelson and go to the first stop light, cross over the
street and go down the stairs into the square that looks like the
building is all empty. Relish is just on your right.
Davie Street is just 2 blocks to the left of the hotel. There is a great
variety of restaurants of different ethnicities, and other stores in
this area

This is not a reflection on the staff at this hotel, but we were so
hugely disappointed with our room, we would never stay here again. Our
room was tiny, the furniture looked cheap, and we were across the street
from the Emergency Entrance to the hospital. When we expressed our
displeasure we were told to call first next time, but we can assure you
there will be no next time. I understand other rooms in this hotel are
fantastic, but we sure did not receive a 4 star experience. We felt we
wasted our money.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here and loved it! We were skeptical
based on other reviews, but it was great! We had a room on the 19th
floor of the North Tower, and it had an awesome view. The hotel is
centrally located in downtown and we were able to walk
everywhere--Gastown, ferry to Granville Island, Stanley Park, etc. There
was a market right down the street, and lots of restaurants and shops
very close. We would stay here again if we get the chance to go to
Vancouver. Parking is very expensive, so we did not bring a rental car.
We booked the room through Hotwire for a much better rate

Beautiful hotel. Front desk staff is friendly. No free wireless internet, which
for the amount you're paying would have been nice. However the room had a mini
fridge, which was fantastic. Large bathroom (definitely plus with two girls
traveling), and amazing view. Nice central location, smack in the middle of
downtown and not far from LRT train stations. Had a nice workout centre as well.
Beware, though - they leave a newspaper under your door and tell you there's no
charge for it, but don't tell you that if you don't take the newspaper then your
room gets a credit for it, which I though was kind of sneaky. Overall good
experience, though, however it was a bit pricey to stay there again.

I stayed near Burrard Street on the North Tower and frequently woke up by noises
on the street (mostly cars and honks). The hotel is well located near Skytrain
station. It is a large hotel and staff can be cool sometimes. The gym is a bit
cheap (worse than your local gym) despite it's a 4-star hotel. The coffee shop
is no longer a Starbucks, just a simple coffee shop and little to offer. It is a
conference hotel for busy people who really don't need much attention of
details. The North Tower is roomier than the South Tower if you're booking a
standard room. Parking is very expensive I heard.
