This hotel is in a quiet neighborhood yet a block from everything. It is
just as the pictures show...beautiful! We had three rooms on one floor
and the kids were able to go from room to room as the halls were safe
and small. The staff was friendly, the breakfast, terrific, the parking
perfect!
PROBLEM: House keeping did not come until late afternoon after we had
returned from our days activities. We were there 5 days and this was
everyday.
Room Tip: The best of Vancouver!

This hotel is on the fringe of the CBD yet still is well located because
of all the cafes and restaurants around it. Nearby Davie street is an
interesting area in its own right. Hotel close to the ferry to Granville
Island. Easy walking distance to centre of CBD, to the shopping along
Robson street and down to the waters edge, Vancouver Harbour and onto
Gastown and its clock. Our one bedroom suite with well equipped
kitchenette was a lovely room with dining table, lounge, good fold-out
bed for adult daughter. Main bedroom was tight but comfortable and
provided the necessary privacy. Good views. Friendly, happy, helpful
staff. Small yet adequate breakfast was included. Popular hotel, do book
in advance to get best deal. We could not get back in second time in
Vancouver. Great introduction to Vancouver happy to highly recommend
especially if you need a little extra space. Value.
Room Tip: Book well ahead to get best deal/big room.

My husband and I stayed here for a few weeks while looking for a new
apartment to live in. We were relocating from another city and chose to
stay here because of an advanced booking deal.
Make sure you book in advance, WAY in advance. I booked about 8 months
in advance because we needed to be sure we could have a few weeks if
necessary. They are always full and run low vacancies.
We had to change our dates several times and have mail delivered there
and the staff were so friendly and helpful. When we arrived, we needed
forms printed and faxed and they helped with that too. It was so nice to
not worry about it and know it was easy to do.
The rooms are decent sized, little kitchen, dining room, living room and
bedroom. The beds are very comfortable.
There were only a few improvements that could be made, like more hangers
in the bedroom closet. I went shopping and didn't have enough to hang
more than a few items.
The apartment was rather dark because of only one main window and thick
drapes, so it was quite dark inside. But we weren't living there, so not
too big of a deal.
The washer and dryer was handy to use and I'm glad we could do laundry.
It is located near a lot of things so it was easy to do a little grocery
shopping and get some food nearby.
It was a very pleasant stay in the West End. And I'm really glad we
booked with Sunset Inn. But now we have a place of our own in Vancouver.
Thanks

This is really the best possible hotel for a great weekend in Vancouver.
You can park your car (free underground ... unheard of in Vancouver) and
never get in it again until you leave the city. We had a newly-renovated
suite on the seventh floor and it was perfect. It's nice to come back to
your hotel at the end of a day of walking and shopping and have a living
room to sit in and a kitchen to prepare a few appies to go with a great
bottle of wine. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is
grocery shopping just around the corner on Davie and you're only a
couple of blocks to the sea bus to Granville Island. Restaurants abound.

What else can you say? The suites are great - size, decor, quality. And
a buffet breakfast too. Location is ideal - walking distance to almost
everything, but in a pleasant quiet street. And the front desk staff are
the icing on the cake - friendly relaxed and very helpful. We'll
certainly be back. |
