Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver Guest Review

The entire staff from housekeeping to management gets a gold star for
their genuine, friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble, and we
were made to feel special. Our upgraded suite with floor to ceiling
windows showcasing the city skyline and mountains was simply
spectacular. We opted for room service breakfast and dinner to take
advantage of the view.
We will return; Sutton Place is fantastic value v Fairmont.

I stay at the Sutton Place in Vancouver on a regular basis for business
travel. This trip was different, it was my Bachelorette Party, and 12 of
my closest girlfriends from near and far were staying with me at the
hotel. We arrived and asked to be upgraded to suites as it was a very
special occasion, which the manager did with a smile and excitement for
us about our evening. We arrived to our room to some special goodies,
and were very impressed with the service of the poor bellman carrying 12
ladies luggage, coolers, libations and other whatnots to 3 different
rooms on two floors.
The hotel met our every need, answered every phone call and delivery
(snacks, ice etc) with a smile and a twinkle in their eye. It felt like
they wanted us there as much as we wanted to be there.
Great job again Sutton Place, I will be back in a couple of weeks for
business and look forward to the same friendly service as I always get.

We stayed in a very comfortable and roomy suite for six nights. The
staff of the hotel was sincerely friendly & helpful in assisting us with
all of our requests for information, booking us at restaurants, and
assisting us in gaining access to a physician for a medical problem. The
restaurant personnel were very attentive and friendly. Most of our meals
in the hotel were the breakfast buffet. It was outstanding in terms of
selection of items including more European-style offerings. The only
"downside" if you will is that wifi was not free to hotel guests.
Hopefully this can be remedied in the future. Suggest that at the very
least wifi be available in the lobby.

This was our first stay at Sutton Place. We have visited Vancouver many
times. We think we have found the perfect hotel.
The location of Sutton Place on Burrard, is right next to one of our
favorite markets. An extensive wine shop on premises, Le Chateau is also
right next door on your way to the heart of Robson, less than a block
away. There is a multiplex movie theater kitty corner away. One of the
busiest and most aromatic hot dog stands sits on the corner. Granville
and Davies are three blocks away. Stanley Park is just a bit of a walk
or a short taxi away.
We love to walk in Vancouver. One of our favorites is the rectangle
formed by Granville, Davie, Stanley Park and Robson. From the Sutton
Place location we can chop that rectangle into a decent walk to the biz
district, Gastown. China Town, etc. If you enjoy the fireworks
exhibition, this hotel is perfectly placed for taking the backstreets to
and from the event, on another one of our favorite walks through the
neighborhoods.
The restaurant choices are epic. We enjoy strolling, stopping for a
drink and appetizers periodically, all day long. This hotel makes it a
significant choice whether we will venture more than a block away.
The restaurant and bar in the hotel are excellent.
The service was impeccable. We checked in early and then didn't leave. I
have absolutely no criticism for the service. The young woman at the
front desk that I dealt with from the beginning to end was as
professional and accommodating as I have ever witnessed.
Every employee was courteous and seemed to genuinely like where they
work. The valet service was excellent, the room service was excellent,
the food and service at the restaurant and bar were excellent.
Everything was extremely clean, and beautiful.
This is the kind of place where I would consider holding a small
conference or wedding.
