Stayed here 2 nights for Business Trip (Coincided with Game 3 and 4 of the Cup
Finals). The Entrance is a bit odd and the Elevators a bit weird but the
attendants were very friendly adn you are located at basically the base of
Robson Street by the Sports Complexes.
Check In was fast.
The room was nice, I had a living room with a separate bedroom. Fairly nice
renovation, but the bathroom was a bit rundown and I would suggest they upgrade
them to look more modern (i.e. Tub, Toilet, Light Switches). It's the little
things that count.
I had fairly high speed internet, the mini bar was nicely stocked and I had two
flat panel tvs, 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom.
Room Service (Breakfast) was very good and you received a lot of food.
Overall I will definitely stay here on my next business trip!

This hotel truly is Grand!! From the moment you walk in the front door to how
guests are treated at this hotel, it is a genuine experience. In the heart of
downtown Vancouver, this hotel has great amenities and is ideally situated.
Within a block of excellent restaurants, shopping and, of course, Gastown! The
rooms are everything you can dream of and more with floor to ceiling windows,
marble detailing and the most comfortable bed you've ever slept in. I definitely
give this hotel 5/5!!

Attended a business conference. Was so glad we booked this hotel instead of a
mega-conference style hotel. Restaurant was excelent, bar was manageable. Used
to be a condo building - smaller scale feel to the whole place. Workout room was
good, too cold to swim, but the pool looked great. Very close to center of town,
shopping, tourist attractions. Staff was very attentive. Will definitely come
back.

My husband and I traveled to Vancouver to celebrate our anniversary in August.
Once we arrived at the Westin Grand, we were told that we were being "walked" to
the other Westin property in Vancouver due to overbooking. What could have been
a very disappointing start to our trip turned out to be a wonderful experience,
all due to how the staff handled the situation. We were so impressed with how
well they took care of us and how welcome they made us feel, despite the
unfortunate overbooking situation.
We would absolutely stay at the Westin Grand again any time. The staff was
exceptional, and they really went above and beyond to help us celebrate our
anniversary, from upgrading us to a gorgeous suite to sending mimosas up to our
room before Sunday brunch. The handwritten note of congratulations from the
staff is still something I treasure--how often do you receive a handwritten note
from anyone these days, let alone a staff member at the hotel where you're
staying?
One of the best benefits of the Westin Grand is the location. It is right in the
heart of the city and an easy walk to many restaurants, shops, bars, and
neighborhoods. The walk to Stanley Park is doable as well, which is well-worth
the visit, especially on a sunny day. The other Westin is located on the water
right next to Stanley Park for easier access. The two are very different
properties and having stayed at both during this trip, I would definitely choose
the Westin Grand again over the other. In the Starwood tradition, both Westins
are wonderful, but the Westin Grand has a great character and staff that
reflects the best of what Vancouver has to offer.
