Took my son and a friend over to Vancouver for the Easter week-end, and
decided to stay at the Century Plaza Hotel. The lobby area is very nice,
and check-in went smooth. We had booked the "best " room in the hotel to
get lots of space, and treat the boys. While the room was clean, it was
a little "tired" looking. Older colours, no flat screen TVs, and
furniture was okay, nothing special. No closet in the bedroom, and it
was quite small with a bed, dresser, and nothing else to make it look
appealing.
The real problem began when we realized the air conditioner was not
working. We had been out and about, and came home in time to go to bed.
In the middle of the night we were all cooming, and nobody had a very
good sleep. As soon as we got up and ready to go out for the day we
stopped in at the Front Desk, and told them we had had a crappy sleep
due to temperature and would they please look into it. We went out for
the day, arrived back about 3:00 pm and still felt like the room was
warm. Called the Front Desk again, and they assured me if I had spoken
to someone in the morning it would have been dealt with, but I asked
that they check it again, as it didn't seem much better. Myself and the
boys went out again and left my husband having a nap. When we arrived
back in a few hours and walked inot the room it was like a blanket of
warm air hit us. Nobody came while we were gone! I called again, they
sent somebody up, and he tried to tell us it was working. We insisted it
was not, and we were not going to spend another night in a hot room. At
this point they FINALLY moved us to another room. The gentleman who came
up was very pleasant, and he helped us relocate, so it was dealt with
professionally at that point. The new room was much cooler and we were
abel to sleep our second night.
All in all Good room.

This hotel has great value for your money. The location is almost in the
center of downtown and within walking distance to most attractions,
shopping, lots of good restaurants. The staff is very friendly and
helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The 1 bedroom suites
have a full kitchen with a balcony and even the studios have a small
fridge, coffee pot and microwave I find very handy. I have been staying
at this hotel for many years and will continue to do so.

I chose this hotel because of a deal they were having. The location was
perfect. It was close to everything we wanted to see. Check-in was
smooth and all questions were answered by friendly staff. Burrard is a
very busy street so there were occasional sirens and traffic noises, but
nothing we couldn't handle. Our room had very comfortable beds. There
was also a kitchen.
We had a swim in the pool and thoroughly enjoyed the steam room in the
ladies change room as well is the very large showers there.
I would stay there again, especially if they were having a deal such as
we had.

I could not have asked for a better experience. The front desk staff
were a breath of fresh air and provided us with detailed information
about the city and the services we could have access to during our stay.
The entire staff were friendly and worked with smiles on their faces. My
room on the 24th floor over looked one of the best views of downtown
Vancouver to Stanley Park with a sunset each night that could not be
described in words that would do justice to its beauty.

Hotel well placed close to all shops including grocery shop! Room
spacious and very well equipped, spotlessly clean. The staff really made
this hotel special- i was a solo traveler new to everything- the
assistance was knowledgeable, thorough and accurate- i had to travel to
Vancouver Island early in the morning utilizing public transport-
amazing directions- did it easily. Felt welcoming and friendly. Cant
rate this place high enough- they made what could have been a stressful
time into one that i was actually quite sad to leave. Thank you one and
