Great location, nice hotel
The Coast Plaza Hotel is a nice hotel in a great location. We got upgraded to a
huge 2 bedroom suite on the 27th floor with two balconies and fantastic city and
mountain views. It was clean and comfortable- very nice beds, though my husband
hated the pillows. The decor was not inspired, but we were mostly admiring the
view. A sweet staff person brought chocolates each evening, and a burned out
lightbulb in the kitchen was promptly changed. There is a grocery store in the
ground level mall- very convenient as we wanted to cook meals for our kids with
food allergies. The pool was great for the kids, as was the proximity of Stanely
Park.

We loved the Coast Plaza Hotel.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom one and a half bath water view suite with a full
kitchen (we reserved a one bedroom suite but were upgraded at no additional
cost). The room was located on a corner of the building on the 32nd floor. It
had two outdoor balconies with views of Stanley Park to the north and a sunset
view of the water to the west. Both views were excellent. The suite itself had a
large size living area.
Positives:
1. 24 hour reasonably priced room service which included delivery bottles of
alcohol. This was great for us because we wanted to make ourselves some mixed
drinks but failed to bring along some Vodka. No problem, the room service menu
included a large variety of alcohol, a simple phone call and 5 minutes later we
were in business. We also ordered breakfast and a late night sandwich and both
were excellent.
2. Free van service to downtown area.
3. Super friendly staff. Very nice, very responsive to our requests.
4. The Coast Plaza has Underground on site parking. Check out time at noon, but
we were allowed to continue to park until 6:00 p.m. at no additional charge.
5. Nice hotel location close to Stanley Park and beach area.
Negatives:
1. Location is cab ride away from downtown area. Can take hotel provided free
shuttle but times that this runs are limited.
2. Room furnishings are somewhat dated. Popcorn ceiling in room may bother some.
Also, no wide screen flat panel TVs in our room. We did have 2 TVs but they were
old square variety with smallish screen. This was no problem for us as we were
not there to watch TV but this may bother some.
Hotel also has an onsite lounge and restaurant. We didn't visit either but they
look nice.
Bottom line for us: Loved it! Excellent room views, awesome staff, and nice 24
hour room service menu made this one of our better hotel experiences.

Good value Vancouver Hotel
This Hotel provides good size rooms with kitchenettes. Over good value and close
to beach and Stanley Park is a bonus. A bit removed from city centre which has
mixed benefits.

Close To Stanley Park
Great value - got the room through the "unpublished rates". A bit older but room
was perfect and view of the ocean :)
