I stayed at the Comfort Inn Downtown Vancouver BC for one night on the
third floor for a trip to write an exam. The exam was at 1:30pm so I
stayed in the room until checkout at 11 am. The room was clean and the
jet tub was a nice surprise. Of my peers who stayed at other hotels in
the area I paid the least for a room with the exception of those who
chose the YWCA. The room was small but suitable for two. The bed was
good and even had comfortable pillows, a rare find for me in a hotel.
During the day there was some traffic noise but not unbearable. At one
time there was a strange buzzing which interrupted my study but I don't
know if it came from inside the hotel or out, it lasted only a few
minutes. Other than some late night revelers returning to their rooms,
early in the morning from the bars (a brief interruption), the stay was
quiet. I would stay at this hotel again. It is a good bargain. Be aware
that watching a movie costs $12. There is no gym so I went to the
Fitness World about 2 blocks away and was charged $22 for the visit.

cheap, clean, comfortable and good showers. exactly what you want from a
comfort inn and a little bit extra i think.
lobby/front needs a lick of paint, but the rooms surprisingly large and
good quality. there's a fairly loud pub downstairs, but even on the
first floor we couldn't hear it. definitely recommend for the budget
traveler.

We stayed at the
Comfort Inn for 2 nights, on different occasions . Our
first room was a standard double which was nice but a tad small, the
upside was we did have a Jacuzzi in the bathroom. I was very impressed
with the cleanliness of the room.
On our second stay we got upgraded to a twin double room and this was
very roomy. It had a couch, microwave and plenty of room for our baby to
crawl around. We didn't have a Jacuzzi in this room.
The front office staff were helpful and friendly. We did have breakfast
included in our room rate and was serviced downstairs in the Irish pub.
The continental breakfast was good it was open from 7am-10am.
I found certain parts of Granville street a little dodgy. There are
plenty of restaurants in the area and Nesters supermarket and IGA near
by. Paul's Stirfry restaurant is very good, which is a stones throw from
the hotel. The train station is 3 blocks away. The free high speed
internet was very helpful.

Lived here for two weeks . Rooms are small but
clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. Sometimes you can see a 5*
professionalism like helping out with luggage, concierge, wake up
service things like that...
Average breakfast in a nice Pub downstairs. Make sure you get a room as
off the 3rd floor because off the loud music unless you re not in the
club during weekdays and weekend to partying.
Great location! Pet friendly ( you pay for stay not for night).
All in all a good and cheap alternative compared to the high priced
hotel,

My girlfriend and I had an excellent time staying at this hotel. We
stayed here for the 2011 Valentine's weekend.
CLEANLINESS - The cleanliness of the rooms and esp. washrooms are a big
thing for us and this hotel did not disappoint. The rooms were clean and
the bed was comfortable. The washroom was spotless and even had a
jacuzzi-tub.
NOISE - The hotel was quiet even though it was just off the
Granville Street
Entertainment District. We were on the 3rd floor and didn't hear any noise.
STAFF - The hotel staff were super friendly. When we inquired about
restaurants in the area that were open for an early breakfast, they made
the effort to phone a couple of nearby restaurants to ask their timings;
without us even asking.
LOCATION - Located a stone's throw away from a myriad of eating joints.
(They offer complimentary breakfast from 7 - 10am, but we didn't get a
chance to try it). It is close to the bus lines and about a 20-minute
walk to the Sky Train.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND WILL DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN!!

No frills - clean and cheap - and a decent location - ask for a higher
floor as there is a Irish pub attached to the hotel. The pub is a nice
place to have a drink if you have the time.. I found the best deal
through www.allure-hotels.com

I booked this hotel because of the price. It was one of the more
affordable hotels in Vancouver.
The staff were ok. We arrived and the girl in the lobby was too busy
with her own things and didn't bother to greet us. Well, I cant expect
too much right. Breakfast was decent. Too much carbo for my liking. I
booked the standard room and it was really very very small. The TV had
to hang from the wall and our window overlooked the apartments in the
next block. At least, the rooms were clean.
Overall, the stay was ok for the location and price. Don't expect too
much from the un-enthusiastic stuff and you are ok.

Two day stay. Building looks better than in Google Streets. Road
construction in GS long since completed. Eager to please desk staff.
Room better than expected. Clean. Steer noise UNAVOIDABLE in the city !
Dumpster divers 20 meters from parking at most hours.
Just hope we don't join them in this economy. Irish Pub downstairs
audible, but not much. Saturday night sidewalks stay busy all night.
Lots of clubs. Good location for tourists. Quiet arrives at 4 am.
Continental Breakfast good. Room has phone/ iPod charger/speaker set.
Chinese fellow at desk in PM is service personified. Excellent. Price
for Vancouver is very competitive.
Book it Dano !
