We stayed with a group one night pre-cruise at this hotel. Our entire group was very happy with the hotel! We were greeted promptly and our luggage taken from us as soon as our cab pulled up to the hotel. All employees were polite, well informed and professional.

Our room was on the 14th floor. Hotel and room were spotless. The bathroom is large with a separate tub and shower and had plenty of Molton Brown amenities - shampoo, conditioner, nail file, body lotion, seamoss bath gel, mending kit and shower cap and magnifying mirror and hair dryer. The closet was large and there was a mini-bar and coffee maker in the room.

Our room had a king bed, juliet balcony, desk, 2 chairs, 2 night stands and a table and floor lamp. T.V. was not a flat screen. flat screen. Room had an actual doorbell, which was great for us as others in our group went room to room visiting. We really did not have a view from the room - our view overlooked a hotel/mall across the street and it's pool.

It is a 4 block walk to the Canada Place cruise ship pier and there are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. There is a pool and small gym onsite.

Check out was a breeze and the hotel called cabs for us to the ship pier.

Only issue we had was that the Museum around the corner had some type of outdoor concert going on and we could clearly hear the music in the room - even the reverberation of the bass. The front desk told us that the music would end at 11 PM and they were right - at the stroke of 11 the music totally stopped. Hotel has no responsibility for this, but I'd request as far from the museum side of the hotel as possible if I stayed there in the future.

All in all this is outstanding choice if you are visiting Vancouver, especially pre or post cruise. Just book early, because they are usualy sold out when the ships are in town!

Room Tip: Request a room as far from the Museum side of the.

We stayed here for several days, booked as a package with our hotel through Expedia. I don't know the exact price we paid for the hotel portion, but it seemed quite inexpensive compared to other hotels booked separately.

The staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Doormen were always there to open the doors for us and a staff member often rushed over to press the elevator button for us before we reached the elevators. The decor seems a bit older, but the place is very well maintained and clean.

The rooms were nice. Note that if you choose a room with two beds, these are *twin/single* beds. We were aware of this when booking. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a large tub and separate glass-enclosed shower. The towels were large and fluffy.

The location was great, directly across the street from the Pacific mall, less than a block from the skytrain station, and about 5-7 minutes walk to the Vancouver Convention Centre and the waterfront.

I have no complaints about this hotel. It was an enjoyable stay.

Every staff member within the entire hotel was pleasant, professional, efficient and courteous. The services and 'small things' like free wireless made my stay extremely pleasant. I've been in a number of hotels on business in the past 3 months and this was by far the best experience I've had.

Room Tip: Ask the front desk staff - they're super!

This trip, not on business, I enjoyed another stay at The Met. It's so comfortable being a boutique hotel and is close to all the great downtown shopping. Enjoyed a beautiful brunch at Diva and even indulged in some of the Asian inspired dishes now on the menu. The green papaya salad made a great appetizer to my crab and spinach omelet. Odd combination to order... I know, but I couldn't resist!

We used the SkyTrain to go downtown from the airport and it is only about a 100 paces away from the City Centre terminal. We were greeted by the doorman and the front counter check in was quick and friendly. We had a King bed on the 7th floor and it was large and super clean. The bathroom had to be seen as it was very large and spotless.
There are tons of restaurants within walking distance and it became a chore to decide which one to eat at.
We got a discounted rate and thought they would give us a lousy room. Boy were we wrong! Highly recommend!
Used the parking garage as well and the elevator to the lobby was appreciated. They have free internet and printer on the third floor.
Definitely will stay here again!
