Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel

Guest Review of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel
June 13, 2011
We stayed four nights at the Sheraton Wall centre and loved the central location, with great sea and mountain views from our room (ask for a view). The hotel was great with only one drawback: the food (even the breakfast was below average). But the service was perfect from the moment we were welcome at the desk until our departure. The hotel recommended wonderful restaurants 2-3 blocks from the Sheraton. Be sure to try the superb Asia (or Azia) restaurant two blocks away from the hotel but stay away from the generally over praised, overpriced and decidedly boring big Chinese place by the wharf. (Imperial?

The Sheraton Wall Centre is ideally located if you want to explore downtown Vancouver. There are more upscale offerings in the area, but for the price it presents good value for a 4 star accommodation choice.

My room on the 22nd floor of the south tower was clean and bright, if a bit small. The floor to ceiling windows provided a good view of Burrard Street to the north and the downtown skyline.

The bed was comfortable with a feather duvet and the bathroom was tiled with marble surfaces. You'll find the standard in room amenities (coffee, iron etc) although bathrobes aren't provided. The temperature control worked well although I found the fan noise a bit loud so turned it off during the night.

I didn't use any of the hotel facilities so can't speak to their quality. The service staff were friendly and helpful.

Overall a good experience, not luxury but fairly priced for the location.

Located on the edge of a developed downtown area, this hotel literarily sits on the highest point , and the higher floor you get the better.
PROS: comfortable, friendly staff, good amenities, fast elevators, safe, good value (for what I paid); numerous cafe's and coffee houses within easy walking distance,24 hr 7 eleven across the street

I liked the fastness of the elevators. Staff was nice and answered all questions. Was even able to get my bills given to me and e-mailed when i required it.

I made my reservation through a professional conference for which I was in Vancouver. My week at the Sheraton Wall Centre was pleasant and comfortable. The free wi-fi was important for me to keep up with the office. Staff was outstanding, very helpful. After my conference, I was joined by a group of my friends, and we loved the location and the views of the city. Within walking distance to the bars and restaurants in Yaletown as well as the shopping on Robson or Granville, an easy 15 minute walk to the waterfront, etc. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our fun Vancouver weekend.
