My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. When we arrived, our room
wasn't ready. The helpful clerk ended up upgrading us to a larger suite
for free.
The suite was very clean and the kitchen is totally equipped with
cooking utensils, pots, pans, microwave, oven, full fridge, etc. You can
definitely save a few dollars by cooking your meals in your room. Our
suite also had a K-cup single brewer (in addition to a regular coffee
system), so bring your K-cups along with you.
The bathroom in our room was very large with a double sink. Our unit had
a rain shower head, which was a nice perk.
The hotel is 2 blocks south of Davies Street, which has tons of
restaurants and shops nearby. It is located in the trendy "Pride"
district, FYI. We found the location to be very convenient for walking.
It's only a few blocks to the Seabus terminal that takes you to
Granville Island. Or you can hoof it like we did (it took 30 mins to
walk).
There was lots of parking, but the parking stalls are small.
Our only complaint is that the room smelled faintly of curry the entire
trip, and that the front lobby is small. The breakfast was also
unappetizing, but this is easily solved by cooking a breakfast in your
suite!

What a find! Our suite was huge and very comfortable. Ideally located
near to great restaurants, particularly the Greek Taverna round the
corner and Vera's burgers on Davie St.

Friendly welcome and staff could not have been more helpful. Excellent
location (Davie Village) with easy access to Downtown, Granville Island,
Stanley Park etc. Apartment very clean, fully serviced and spacious -we
requested a room as high up as possible and got it - on the 11th floor
with views toward the mountains. A selection of restaurants and shops
within easy walking distance. Great value for a central city location

We are on a 1 month holiday from Australia and after 5 days on the road
arrived in Vancouver. We stayed in a standard 1 bedroom suite. It was
great with separate bedroom, bathroom, lounge and large kitchen complete
with full size fridge, cook top and oven. The staff were great, friendly
and very helpful right down to assisting planning your daily trips and
looking up busses etc. We stayed for 4 nights and utilized the free
parking, free continental breakfast which you collect each morning and
take up to the comforts of your dining table to eat (this includes
having fresh fruit available) and a well equipped laundry. Another major
benefit is the location just around the block from Davie Street which
has an amazing array of eating places covering all budgets and types of
food. The staff can recommend the good ones so ask them as most eat/live
locally.
Location wise it is convenient to all buss routes which for a couple of
dollars a trip or $9.70 a day pass gets you to all the places to visit.
We stayed on the 3rd floor and whilst there was a small amount of street
noise it was with in normal expectations for a CBD location.
Could not recommend this place enough and would definitely stay here
again.
Room Tip: The descriptions of the rooms are very accurate.

We stayed at Sunset Inn & Suites for 3 nights and found the hotel
comfortable, great service, and perfect location. Walking distance to
everywhere. The bed was comfy, though the sofa beds were less so. The
kitchen is well stocked. The staff were wonderful, very attentive and
accommodating. I would happily stay there again. What a great find!

My wife and I spent from March 23 to April 23 at this wonderful hotel,
and we can't sing its praises long or loud enough. \we travel a lot.
We're grumpy and fussy when a place fails to meet the mark, and the
/sunset never disappointed us once. All the staff, from Manages to
Maids, were consistently cheerful and helpful and more than willing to
walk that rare extra mile to please us. Our one-bedroom suite was newly
decorated, and so tastefully done that it felt like a personal..
apartment, not a hotel room. A 42 inch flatscreen TV in both bedroom and
living room, DVD player in the l. room. The full kitchen had every
utensil and gadget you would want, and if it did not--the staff will go
get it for you!
Small complaints: the continental breakfast is cereal, muffins, juice,
and coffee. That's it. And the balconies are too small. But overall
value. . .good grief! Because we stayed 30 days, we got our suite for
$70/night, NO TAXES. Under 30 days, taxes apply, but the place is still
a bargain at about $90 - $100. Oh!--and get this one--underground,
locked and secure parking is FREE. Unheard of. Downtown hotels typically
charge $14 - $20 a day. The location is amazing--half a block away are
\\Korean, Mexican, Greek, Italian, Chinese, Indian etc., the list goes
on and on. So, check out the website of this lovely hotel. You won't be
sorry.

This is a great place for the money because it has such comfortable
rooms, a continental breakfast, laundry, good walking distance to
Granville Park and local restaurants. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel
and were given an upgrade from an executive studio suite to a one
bedroom suite. The bed was very comfortable and the room had two flat
screen TV's with a kitchenette, table/chairs, sofa, desk, etc. The hotel
is located on a residential street not far from a main street with a
number of quaint neighborhood restaurants. We were able to walk from the
hotel to Granville Park area and take a small ferry to the park which
also has restaurants and a farmers market. The hotel staff was very
friendly and even loaned us an umbrella one day for the rain. We enjoyed
our stay and found it was very relaxing. We would definitely return and
you cannot beat the value. It's a real hidden gem in Vancouver!
