I was a the Bayshore for a conference. Tough not to love this hotel. The
location on the water and across from Stanley Park is just amazing. Nice
facilities, friendly staff, and its close to everything else downtown.
One area that the hotel could improve in is to upgrade the appearance of
the halls in the old (non-tower) section of the hotel. Rooms are really
nice, if a bit small, but the hallways feel a bit like a budget hotel.
Love the Asian-influenced decor of the rooms, though, and you just can't
beat the harbour view.
And, Westin does seem to deliver on their promise of "heavenly beds".
Defiantly the most comfortable beds I have slept in.

Stayed at this Westin for 5 nights. I am an SPG gold member and was
upgraded to a junior suite overlooking Coal Harbour and the new
convention center. This hotel is perfectly located at the beginning of
Stanley Park, and just 10 minutes slow walk (fabulous walk) to the
Vancouver convention center. The view is spectacular. If you come to
Vancouver you have to stay on the bay, and the Westin was the perfect
location as it is in a quiet angle of the bay but still very close to
all restaurants on Robson, to the convention center and Canada Place,
and of course, just besides gorgeous Stanley Park. I had buffet
breakfast at Currents at Bayshore. I also had coffee at the Starbucks
that has its own beautiful outside terrace within the hotel, and had
lunch and dinner at Seawall grill & bar. All were very good experiences.
The staff was always super attentive and polite, reception, concierge,
cleaning, room service, a clear sign of a very well managed hotel
throughout their departments. I tried also restaurants around and I was
impressed with the simplicity and great food at Cardero’s restaurant
(further away I had great Italian food at Cibo Trattoria). The Westin
shuttle politely gave us a ride to the Harbour Air terminal nearby (not
very far, but with luggage it was easier). Room number was 930 on the
last floor of the main building. There is also a Tower building. I also
had a nice therapeutic massage in the Hotel Spa (Vida), super quiet and
professional. Overall a fabulous experience and this will surely be my
first choice for hotels in gorgeous Vancouver

I stay in hotels 3-4 times a month and the Westin Bayshore is by far my
favorite. They are my #1 choice when I'm in Vancouver and my family and
I stay here during our annual spring trips. This was our 4th spring trip
and the Bayshore staff made sure it was the most memorable. The staff
knew that this trip is an annual tradition for us and they greeted us
with a "welcome back" note and a plate of cookies, fruit and chocolate
in our room. Our room had a harbour view and was immaculate. The staff
was also very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to suggesting local
restaurants within walking distance and the shuttle van driver pointed
out interesting sites when he took us downtown to the art museum.
Whenever I passed a staff member, they always greeted me with a smile
and a cheery greeting. They really made me feel welcome.
As we left the hotel, my daughter asked when we would be returning. Our
answer? "As soon as possible!"

Bayshore is located on the Stanley Park side of downtown Vancouver, a
quieter location on the harbour facing the mountains. The tower rooms
are a good size and well appointed. Sliding doors open, fresh air, great
!
The Seawall bar and cafe has good food / service along with a good
selection of gluten free items. The Lift next door on the waterfront has
excellent food and service, special place.
A small deep indoor pool / hot tub and a nice out door pool heated all
year. Outside pool currently being upgraded.
Short walk to shopping.
My favorite in Vancouver

For our honeymoon we chose this hotel and we were more than happy with
our stay. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon we were upgraded to a
corner suite overlooking the bay and it was absolutely gorgeous! The bed
wass comfortable (soft but not too soft), the bathroom was modern and
spacious, and we really liked that there was a self-programmable safe in
the room. The meals in the hotel were a little expensive for what you
got, but the amazing concierge more than made up for it. The number of
things that their concierge desk was able to help us out with was
wonderful!! We would definitely stay here again. |
