It's hard to imagine a better value in pricey Vancouver. Great in-town location
with public transportation and many good restaurants nearby. Pleasant, helpful
staff. Free parking under the hotel (but bring good driving skills and, if
possible, a small car, because turns are tight and most spaces are narrow). Our
room--assigned according to our requested location--was very comfortable but
smaller than those at most places we stay. This posed no problem at all since,
of course, we didn't travel to beautiful Vancouver to spend any more time than
necessary in our hotel room!
I found the complaints here about the small breakfast area unwarranted since
there's table space for a couple of dozen people and, after all, it's not
intended to be, or advertised as, a restaurant.

I did a lot of research before booking this hotel and thanks to other reviews I
took a chance and was not disappointed. I got a decent rate by booking through a
third party compared to other hotels that are in closer to the middle of town.
But the great thing about Vancouver is that everything is relatively close.
We were able to buy a day pass for $9 Canadian and jump on the Metro (there is a
bus stop within walking distance from the hotel). That bus took us all the way
to Stanley Park (about a 15min ride) which is must see- we rented bicycles and
rode around the perimeter of the park- beautiful!

The hotel itself offered all basic amenities and although there was nothing
spectacular about it, it was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was
friendly. Yes, the breakfast room was quite small- but i must admit I was
impressed by their selection of danish/muffins etc. There is a restaurant next
door that offers a nice, hot alternative but not if you are in a hurry- the
service in Vancouver is friendly, but slow! The underground mall next door was
convenient for last minute toiletries. If you want souvenirs- go to the Sears on
Robson Street- you can find some great deals on Olympic wear!
I hope to visit Vancouver again soon (I was only there for 3 nights for a
wedding) and I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

We only need to stay at this Best Western for one night. that was too bad
because I could have camped out there for quite a while. Our hotel room was just
great for two people. A comfy, super comfy bed, very high ceilings, beautiful
bathroom - clean, clean, clean. Nice view from the window (we were on the top
floor right near the exercise room). Just a very calming hotel room. Super bonus
- free internet in the lobby (although the keyboard had a few problems). Parking
was included, although there were plenty of free spaces on the street. Decent
area, but it is a city you always have to be alert. We asked about a nice
restaurant nearby for pizz and Desk clerk right away recommended Martinis on
East Broadway. Not a very far drive at all and great, great food! Open late too.
But I digress. Hotel also gave you free breakfast. Not a hot meal, but plenty of
coffee, juices, croissants (even chocolate), bagels, cereal, etc.). Breakfast
room wa a bit cramped. Location was just fine if you had a car. And if you
didn't want to drive into the city, public transportation was close by. Overall,
a great place to stay and a terrific value. I'd love to go back. Loved
Vancouver, too.

Not the greatest location for parking, rooms were clean, however they were
small. The rest of the hotel was small too with a slow elevator. Upon checkout,
the one who helped us out wasn't the most talkative and didn't even ask us how
our stay was. I'd say the stay was alright but you definitely have to be
prepared for a smaller than expected room

We booked this hotel for a very good price ($400 for 3 nights with a corporate
code), especially considering Vancouver prices. We expected a run-down hotel in
the middle of nowhere, but got something else entirely. Where else in Vancouver
can you find a hotel with free parking? And free breakfast and free wi-fi? The
wi-fi works perfectly, and the breakfast is very decent (as long as you take it
outside or up to your room, don't torture yourself by sitting in the extremely
cramped breakfast room). The elevators are very slow, so don't be lazy -- just
take the stairs, you'll save tons of time and get some exercise. We didn't have
much of a view, but the location was perfect for our needs as it is in the
middle of a Asian/Vietnamese area... meaning tons of cheap good food surrounded
us. Everything else is just a short trip away. We always felt safe. The free
parking was excellent around the hotel, but we never tried the underground
parking which seemed a little cramped. The lobby is small, but who cares? it's
perfectly pleasant, and offers a computer with internet and a printer. Service
was excellent, the hotel was comfortable -- the rooms weren't extravagant but they
were perfect. The halls are bright and beautiful, which came as a pleasant
surprise. Couldn't expect more for a well-priced hotel.
