View from 28 floor is amazing with ocean and city view. I wish it was
made clear how to turn up heat in room (you have to ask at front desk -
dial on wall does not work). Temperature in the pool room downstairs was
chilly. Not pool water itself but air in room.

For the price, this hotel is a good bet in
Downtown Vancouver. Our room
was average. We found the bed quite hard. Kitchen was convenient. Right
beside St. Paul's hospital Very convenient location. Food in the
restaurant was very good, excellent wine list showcasing BC wines.
Service in the restaurant also very good, front desk was helpful.

Overall, the hotel was fantastic - great condition, fabulous restaurant,
close to everything... we just had one surprise upon check-in, which was
that our room came with two small beds, instead of the king we had
expected. When we called down to ask about the mix-up, we were told that
when we book on hotels.com or on expedia.ca, the type of room specified
can't be guaranteed. We didn't make a fuss about it, but it was a
different way to spend a
Valentines Day weekend away with my husband...
though I think we both got a great night's sleep (alone).

This was my second stay at this hotel while in town for a seminar held
just down the street. Hotel staff is always friendly, helpful and
professional. This time I booked my studio room during an internet sale
and while their rates are normally quite reasonable, it was even lower.
Then upon check in, I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite (even without
requesting it!). I love having the kitchenette or small kitchen in the
room, and with a market just down the block, I can grab breakfast in my
room without hassle. Room was clean and updated - they are not luxury,
but an older hotel with nice, clean updated rooms. When I inquired about
the heat in the bedroom being too high despite turning off the
thermostat, they promptly sent someone to the room to adjust it. When I
needed clean towels they were at my door within minutes. I ordered room
service on my previous visit, which was fast and good. Having a coffee
shop in the lobby is a nice plus. Overall a nice experience. I do wish
in-room internet wasn't a daily charge, but that seems to be the norm in
that part of town unfortunately.

We stayed here 3 and half years ago on the night we got engaged, and it
was wonderful so we were excited to return. The room was a good size,
and so was the bathroom and kitchen And the view was great. Staff was
helpful and we treated ourselves to a couples treatment at the SPA in
the Hotel. What a great way to relax. We will be back.

What a find in central Vancouver! It was perfectly located for our stay
in Vancouver - we were able to walk to
Granville Island
and Robson
Street as well as Gastown.
The room was huge with a great kitchen area complete with oven and
microwave.

My first impression we came came to the desk: arrogant and cold
staff...Fortunately they were not at all like the "lady" we had when we
checked in...
The room was big and fully furnished, it was a real deal...We paid
78$/per night...No fitting room, but a pool and a steam room...No
internet in the room, but you can get it in the lobby...

Nice hotel in the heart of Downtown, close to Skytrain and buses.
Really good deal with a great staff helping.
You should ask to be up in the hotel, the view is just amazing.

We booked a one bedroom suite, and we were glad to have done this. The
layout of our room felt like an apartment, and I love how there are
separate areas for the living room, kitchen and bedroom. Our view from
the 9th floor was facing North, and we could see the infamous green roof
of the Fairmont.
The shower pressure in our bathroom was fantastic. Never had I stayed in
a room where the water was nice and hot and the pressure was just simply
outstanding. The heat and and the modern a/c unit worked well. It was so
hot in our room that we had to turn on the a/c just to keep the room
comfortable.
It was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator for those late night
snacks. There was even a stove to do some cooking if you so desired.
Now the only areas for improvement in our opinion are the beds, which
were not comfortable to sleep on. I would recommend bringing a mattress
topper if you could. The furnishings are a bit dated, though. The
parking garage could really use some help as water puddles formed in
certain parts of the garage.
Wi-fi connection was strong in our room but we did not purchase a day
pass, for 9 CAD.
The lobby and restaurant were beautiful. Although we had a $10 voucher
for use for dining, we didn't have a chance to try their dining options.
All in all, we would definitely stay at this hotel. The location to
Davie Street , Robson Street and being right on Burrard across the
street from the Sheraton make this a centrally nice place to stay in
Downtown Vancouver.,

We live in
Whistler and like to come for a weekend in the city. We tried
different hotels over the years and the Century Plaza is awesome. The
rooms are not as 'foofy' as the Fairmont or other nice hotels but they
are BIG, very clean and the mini kitchen are awesome when you have kids.
Great location, a block away from Y Yoga, shopping on Robson, great food.
Love it. Great service. Can beat the rates.
