Nice, but aging, hotel in a great part of town. Rooms are smallish and
parking is not complimentary.
Great location, walking distance to Robson St and Stanley Park.
First impressions, from the parking deck, are pretty terrible. The lobby
is nice.

It is a good stay for a get away or business. Not too fancy but the
price was right for a downtown room.
Good location to attractions and shops and restaurants.
It was a little more run down than I expected for an upscale hotel put
the price was right.

This is a nice, higher end hotel in a fair location. It will fill the
bill nicely if you are willing to walk 10 minutes to get to the heart of
downtown or the Westin bay shore convention spaces. The small ethnic
restaurants that line the streets in the area offer great food at
reasonable prices if you want to avoid the higher end eateries of
downtown. Internet access is expensive for a higher end hotel (why is it
that super 8 has wireless for free but a three star hotel charges $15 a
day?). The blend coffee shop two blocks away offers free internet and
great baked goods.
Nice room with a good price.
Internet connections were $15 a day.

My overall experience at the empire landmark was excellent! Our room was
on the 18th floor and gave us views of the mountains, English bay, and
Stanley park and rob son street. The room was a bit small but very cozy
for a romantic vacation. One negative- at about 5is on our last night
there the bathroom ceiling started to leak. We put a towel in the sink
so that the dripping didn't keep us up but when we woke up in the
morning half the floor was soaking wet. Because this is an older hotel
(I think 30 years or so) flooding and plumbing problems seem to be a
regular occurrence (another couple we were vacationing with had the same
problem their first night there). The empire is in perfect position-
close to Stanley park and the aquarium, next to tons of shopping and a
short drive to all other popular Vancouver attractions. Our favorite
restaurant was "indent flavors" 1256 rob son street- just 2 blocks from
the empire. We ate there two nights! It's clean, sleek and solos yummy!
Fantastic location and awesome views!
Expensive considering not much was included- only given two towels and
no fridge or microwave.

The location of this hotel is great! Located on
Robson Street ,
near the shops and waterfront. Apart from that and the views there's not
really anything good left to say. The man at reception had quite clearly
never heard of 'customer service' and was just there to get paid. We
were checked in quickly but no pleasantries at all. No 'Have a good
stay.' Nothing said to us about the hotel facilities. There's a
revolving restaurant on the top floor with stunning views, why not
promote that or at least tell your guests about it?! Very strange. Our
room was nice and clean though.
In the bathroom there is a timer for how long you can have the 'bright
light' on. So don't go expecting to have a nice relaxing bath because it
sounds like there's a bomb ticking in the bathroom...
Since it is December you'd expect to have a nice cozy room... not a
chance. It was freezing! There was a draft/ wind coming through the
balcony doors and it was so so cold. The bed is right by the window too
so trying to get to sleep was fun. The pipes in all the other rooms are
very noisy so you can hear when someone nearby is running their taps.
The same man checked us out - again no 'how was your stay?' or any
pleasantries. It felt like ' You're done. There's the door. Bye.'
There are so many Hotels in Vancouver for
people to choose from I don't understand why they think it's ok to
provide zero customer service or even a smile.

The positive on staying at the
Empire Landmark is a great location, and
reasonable rates, but you get what you pay for... Our up grade room was
dated, the bed with no head board, the furniture had to have been 30
years old, but a beautiful new flat screen tv with no remote to operate
it. Unfortunately no remote no tv. The heat did not work in the room in
this cold weather this last weekend (Nov 20-21) we could see our breath.
When checking out the employee just said sorry and could not compensate
us as we did not book direct with the hotel. I will be paying the extra
at the Coast Hotel
which is just around the corner!!!

Good sized rooms and a good central location. My main issue was my sleep
quality. The rooms are noisy, whether it is the fire engines blasting
their sirens or the plumbing. The heating system was pretty rubbish too.
Personally I'd pay a bit more and go to a main chain.
