Wow. Wow. WOW. Such a great deal being near downtown. Nice rooms,
friendly staff, and best of all- I LOVE the indoor pool surrounded by
full-length windows overlooking the city. We had to call last-minute for
a hotel and they were the only ones with a reasonable rate. I definitely
recommend this hotel.

“Disappointed”
The room was clean but had no mini refrigerator or microwave oven. They
also did not provide free parking even though the building itself has a
huge parking garage. On our last day the cleaning staff did not provide
us with the usual complimentary soap or shampoo. We had to ask for this
at reception.
Area recommendations
The downtown area is beautiful, very modern, lots of restaurants and
shops. Don't miss Vancouver's Lookout Tower! Great views!!!

“Try Again After Renovations are Finished”
Very friendly staff and they tried to make the best out of construction
and renovations that resulted in no pool/fitness opportunities, one
working elevator, etc. The area isn't particularly nice and there isn't
much within walking distance. But Vancouver overall was GREAT and cabs
were easy to get when needed. Overall, given circumstances, not bad.
Can't wait to see it post-remodeling.
Area recommendations
Went to dinner on the island in center of city. That area was booming
and seemed to have much to see and do. UBC area, where meeting was held,
was also very nice

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of a lot of
great amenities, including public transit that will take you straight to
downtown Vancouver. Although several floors are currently undergoing
renovations, the noise has not been entirely bothersome. My room faced
northwest and had a stunning view of the skyline - unfortunately it will
soon be almost entirely blocked by the 20-storey condo being built right
beside the hotel.
Overall the beds are comfortable, the facilities are older but quite
clean, and the staff is very helpful. There is a great Chinese
restaurant located downstairs, and numerous coffee shops, restaurants,
and liquor stores in the area. I stayed here on a business trip but I
enjoyed taking some time off to enjoy the numerous tourist sites nearby,
including Granville Island.
Overall, it's a fantastic location, not too expensive, and is very
clean. Internet access is offered both hardwired and wirelessly. Stages
Bistro in the hotel offers a fairly good continental breakfast with
prompt service - I ordered room service numerous times and my breakfast
always arrived in approximately 10 minutes. If you are staying for more
than a few days I would recommend getting an upgraded suite with a mini
fridge.

Our room was on the 7th floor and had very nice views. The room was
larger than average and nicely decorated. There were good restaurants
and coffee shops nearby. This hotel is not near any of the tourist
attractions of Vancouver. The Granville Island shopping area is nearest,
about a mile away.
Really nice views.
Not very near shopping & attractions.

Great location for Vancouver, not downtown but in a safe area close to
lots of small restaurants, coffee shops and drug stores. This hotel also
had free wireless. The three other hotels that I stayed at in Vancouver
and surrounding areas said wireless but for an additional high price per
24 hours. It's located near lots of major bus stops so getting around
without a car is very easy. The hotel staff could have been a little
friendlier, but other than that good hotel, great view, great location.
They had laundry room with decent prices, close to convenient shopping &
food.
Staff could have been a little friendlier.
