I live in the Fraser Valley and sometimes it's nice to book an overnight at a Vancouver hotel instead of driving home at 3 in the morning when we go out. My girlfriends and I love to go to a nice dinner and go dancing until the wee hours of the morning every once in a while to reconnect and blow off steam.  We were in room 2208 and it was such a beautiful view and a beautiful room. The beds are very comfortable, the view is gorgeous and the hotel is beautiful. What we will always remember is the awesome doorman, Magdalena and the beautiful hotel room. We will be back again!

We were placed with this hotel through Priceline and, after reading some of the reviews, had some hesitations about staying here. As recommended, I emailed the hotel requesting 1 king bed for us because of some issues others had in the past. I received an email back confirming our request.

After figuring out the parking situation (it was a bit unclear to me as there wasn't signage specific to hotel guests) we checked in at the front desk. Jason checked us in and was quite polite and gave me a note from the manager welcoming us and wishing us a happy anniversary (I had mentioned it was in my email to them.) However, they addressed it to Mr and Mrs Smith (not realizing my partner was a man. No fault of theirs, but made us both chuckle.)

Jason actually walked us to the elevator and wished us a pleasant stay. Very impressed.

We were placed in 2609, a northern facing room with a view of the harbor. Room was very clean and well appointed. My biggest complaint is that for a 5 star hotel, they should not be charging guests for wifi (CAD 15, at that.)

Other than that, had a fabulous stay and was quite impressed in how we were treated.

Just spend 6 nights with my wife and 22 months old daughter. General speaking this hotel is a very good hotel. The room (2 double bed) is very big and bathroom is very clean. Staffs are very nice and helpful. The Mosaic Bar & Grille provides quality food, don't miss the chocolate cake. Pool and fitness centre is Complimentary to hotel guests

But I regret that not to read the reviews before I made my decision. Several reasons: 1) Valet parking is CAD52/night, self parking is CAD42/night which is expensive and not the same as their website mentioned. 2) wi-fi is not free

If you want to stay at downtown 1~2 nights and not driving, this hotel is good. It is walking distance to Robson street where a lots of good restaurant thereby. And a skytrain Burrard station is just next by it.

We selected this hotel based on it being central to all, and we weren't disappointed. It was a convenient walk to the waterfront, Canada Place, downtown shopping, and many public transportation lines.

With the exception of a superb doorman named Greg, we found the staff to be a bit reserved to the point of being chilly. (For example, when we asked if we could upgrade our room, the woman at the front desk replied with an unsmiling "No." Not, "I'm sorry there's nothing available right now.") At the other end of the spectrum, Greg was a delight, helping us to plan all the details of each day.

Rooms were clean & comfortable but you could hear the neighbor's late night (2 am) TV through the wall. I am sure the staff would have rectified this situation, but we were too tired to call.

This is a very nice hotel that is affordable while still a bit more upscale. The decor is modern and well looked after. The room was very efficient with all the basic needs and clean-line modern look to it. Housekeeping promptly attended to a request for wine glasses and a corkscrew. The king bed was very comfortable and the room very quiet considering the busy downtown streets below. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and would look after every request, from forgotten shave cream and razor to extra body lotion. A late night room service order was delightful; a cheese plate that was both delicious and beautifully presented. We also appreciate the hotel's "green" efforts in their products and operation. The hotel is a great value and we would chose it again.
