We chose to stay here for a one night stop over on a Saturday night. We
wanted to get to sleep early as we had a large day planned ahead. Front
office staff were friendly and welcoming and warned us the hotel does
get noise due to the club inside the hotel. Our first room was right
next to the elevator on the quiet side of the hotel, unfortunate the
floorboard for the room above sounded like they were going to break and
the noise from people going in and out of the elevator made us ask for a
new room. The front desk staff mentioned they only had a room on the
noise side with the club but it was away from the elevator but were more
then willing to accommodate us.
If your not there to visit the clubs or don't like big bass then I don't
suggest staying here on the weekends. We were OK once we got our
earplugs in.
Great spot if you are going clubbing or want to explore granville at
night. Comfortable rooms and helpful front office staff.

We only spent one night, but the experience was great! Clean,
comfortable and quiet room. The hotel is downtown so it was easy to get
to everything. Walked all around the area, great shops, cafes and
restaurants. The staff was wonderful. Helpful, friendly and always
available if you have questions. Don't forget to ask about the coupon
book, great discounts on attractions, shopping and restaurants. Paid for
itself with the first attraction. I would definitely stay again.

the Ramada is a heritage building. it has been around for 100 yrs. the
building is in excellent condition for being a old timer....the rooms
are cozy with exceptionally large bathrooms. i was amazed by the staff.
they were very friendly, great big smiles all the time, they made you
feel welcomed, like you were one of the family visiting at their home.
the location is great. you are in walking distance of everything, such
as, shopping, pubs, live entertainment, great dining, Granville island
and much more. this place has tons of charm. the energy and life that
the staff bring to this building is just one of the many fantastic
characteristics you will come to love.

Stayed here for 3 nights and I was very happy with my choice despite the
odd negative review on here. I arrived via Seattle on Amtrak so picked
up my car and came by to check in quite early. That was no problem and I
was soon in my second level room which was quite spacious and included a
large flatscreen tv. There was a like a hallway between the main bedroom
to the bathroom which I used to spread my luggage out.
The staff was friendly and ever helpful especially the valet who was
forever moving cars around as the carpark does get pretty full. I opted
for self parking which cost $15 + taxes which is a little rough but it
is in the middle of downtown.
Yes, the elevator is very slow but since I was on the second floor, I
only used the elevator once on check-in and used the stairs throughout
my stay there.
I did stay mid-week so unsure about the infamous club noise that people
have written about here but I had no problems with noise during the
nights. The location is perfect for nightlife and dining and I walked to
most of Vancouver's attractions from here - Canada Place, Robson St,
Gastown, Chinatown, Granville Island etc

only required a 1 night stay with friends for a night of clubbing next
door at gingers. got to the hotel quite late and was given fast and
efficient service by lady called Dorsa at reception. after getting ready
she took us down to the club herself and got us entry into the VIP queue
and after we didnt encounter 1 problem.... |
