could be maintained better. Don't stay here if you are looking for nice
new furnishings and beds. But if you want a great location at a fair
price...this is the one

We have visited Vancouver for years, and stayed at some of the best
hotels (Pan Pacific etc..) this was our 1st visit to the Sylvia, we
liked it so much we are booked to go back the end of this month. Wish we
had known about it sooner.
The location is picturesque, and just a short trip to the mountain,
snow, skating and skiing. The best of both worlds! .

My wife and I came for a relaxing weekend - having English Bay across
the street is a treat and Stanley park for a nice walk - will be back in
the summer to enjoy with warmer weather. We love the location to be able
to come back and relax after a day of shopping. The staff and service
was most helpful. We love the charm of the old hotel and found it to be
a place we will come back to.

We loved our stay at the Sylvia! The staff was very friendly and our

We found the Hotel to be clean and the service both from the hotel and
restaurant to be very helpful. Location was excellent for us - providing
us with a pleasant place to relax for the evening after a day of
shopping.

I won't hear a bad word about this hotel. It has everything you'd want
from a hotel in Vancouver. I've stayed here several times and always had
a great time. You have the beach, Stanley park and downtown all within
your grasp. The hotel was one of the first buildings in Vancouver and
yes the floor boards are a bit wonky in places but in my opinion it just
adds to the charm.
