Guest Review of the Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver

My wife & I just completed a 3 day stay at The Wedgewood and felt so
relaxed and pampered we hated to leave. We received a free upgrade to a
two room suite which was outstanding and the staff are always very
friendly and immediately responsive to any inquiry. From the Bacchus Bar
downstairs to the awesome beddings in our room the experience was just
splendid and would recommend to anyone.

Impeccable service from the entire staff! The concierge gave great
suggestions on nearby places to eat and how to get to train to airport.:
housekeeping was so quick to bring an extra blanket and open the sofa
bed for our kids; the doormen were very friendly , and Wanda, a lovely
lady who works in the Bacchus restaurant downstairs was especially kind
and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Location is close to shopping, 20
min walk to Granville Island (though we didn't get a chance to make it
there) and only 5 min walk to train station. Very comfortable beds. The
rooms are very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

I do like Relais & Chateau Hotel's and the Wedgewood truly delivers.
Friendly staff, great bar and restaurant in the Bacchus not to mention
lovely Suites.
I must concur with all the other reviewers that give this Hotel 5 out of
5 and who will have described it in much greater detail than you need me
to repeat. :-)

Have stayed here before, several years ago was happy we went back. Same
gracious, attentive service without be obtrusive. Love the little
touches, like the doorman offering you an umbrella - just in case.
Rooms are very well appointed and the hotel is centrally located to most
major shopping areas - Robson and the wonderful mall - name slips my
mind, but I could find it blindfolded , museum and every place we wanted
to explore on this trip. The lounge with it's cozy seating near the
fireplace is a great spot to enjoy a romantic cocktail. Dining here has
always been one of our highlights. It is fine dining and has never
failed to meet or exceed our expectations. It is a bit of splurge, but
certainly worth it ! If you're looking for a romantic experience this
hotel is one of the best in Vancouver!

Spent a week at Wedgewood while attending a conference at Canada Place.
The location is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants
and just far enough from the convention center. This is a small, quiet,
classy hotel with extremely polite and helpful staff.

We stayed at the Wedgewood Hotel and Spa over President's Day Weekend.
We chose the hotel because of the reviews written and the Wedgewood
Hotel and staff did not disappoint. We arrived a bit early but a suite
was available and we were quickly checked in. The room was lovely and
very comfortable with a large sofa/chaise combo in the living room that
fit the two of us wonderfully. The bedroom had a very comfortable king
bed with wonderful linens and pillows. There were little thoughtful
touches such as a throw blanket, chocolates upon our arrival, bathrobes
and slippers, ice bucket filled daily, nightly turn down service with
cookies, etc.. Through out our stay we would find notes in our room
thanking us for choosing the Wedgewood and letting us know if we needed
anything from reservations at restaurants to recommendations for sight
seeing to please let one of the staff know and they would arrange it for
us. We did take advantage of the spa and LOVED it. We both had the
exfoliation scrubs and then a 90 minute massages that were fabulous! The
bar and restaurant were delightful. The bartender made great Ceasar's
and the food was lovely; especially the Eggs Benedict.
Additionally, the staff was wonderful. They always remembered us as we
came and went and always had smiles for us and again asked us at every
turn if needed anything or if they could assist us with anything. The
only negative that we found was the drainage in the shower, very slow
and the 4:00 am Monday morning wakeup by the trash pickup. Other than
that we loved our stay and will return when we stay in Vancouver in the
future.
