This was a wonderful hotel very helpful staff will bend over backwards for you,
we were given a suite on the penthouse floor so we were very impressed indeed!
They have a ping pong table which was fun and a little spa tub and a gym on the
top floor. The only negative I would say was there seems to be a few homeless
people hanging around this area, they have no connection to the hotel, it is
more that seems to be a problem actually both in Vancouver downtown and even
Vancouver Island, but we would definitely stay here again it was a very nice
surprise!

Great 1 night stay. Easy driving to get to this hotel located right near the
Granville Street bridge from the Horseshoe Bay ferry & easy access to get to
other freeways Hwy 1 & Hwy 5 & to BC's interior or the US border & I-5. Checked
in & parked in their park-aide ($29.00) reasonable rate. Very clean, comfortable
room with king bed & Free internet & shopping a few blocks away. It was a
weekend & we weren't bothered by any noise by other guests & we heard typical
downtown city sounds (odd siren) but above all we had a good night's rest. It's
a bit of a walk through a seedy area to the main Granville entertainment
district but Best Western does have a Free shuttle (check for availability) &
will drop you off downtown or cabs are approximately $8-10. There is a White
Spot on the property but we didn't dine there & there is a great nightclub (The
Yale) worth checking out directly across the street (entertainment for a cover
charge). Stayed at this property 2 times now & have been approached by
panhandlers in the area especially outside the 7 Eleven across the street. There
is a Shopper's Drug Mart approximately 1 & a half blocks away that came in real
handy for last minute items I forgot at home. The check-in & check-out was
speedy & the staff were friendly & helpful. This hotel is good value for
downtown Vancouver hotels.

This hotel at the foot of the Granville Street Bridge was in a great location
for us. I was visiting my daughter at UBC and needed convenient parking because
I was traveling with my older mother. A bus right outside went right to UBC. You
can walk over the bridge to the
Granville Island Public market. Restaurant attached to
hotel. All the staff were very friendly. Comfortable beds, kitchenettes.

Our "Go-To" place for any last minute Vancouver trip. I love that you can count
on always having a clean room, the same friendly smiling faces, and a friendly
chauffeur standing by with his free shuttle bus to take you right to where you
want to go, no map or bus fair needed!
We've only had good stays at the Best Western Downtown, highly recommendable. As
another person mentioned, You'd be surprised how flexible these people can be if
you ask about upgrades and packages. :)

this hotel is typical of the
Best Western style. As a basic chain of hotels it
is everything you would expect. clean and neat, nothing outstanding, but a good
hotel. it is a great location. and within walking distance of all the things you
would visit in Downtown
Vancouver.
the breakfasts were superb, in fact all the food was stunning, however right on
your doorstep is a great array of weird and wonderful eateries.
there is plenty to do and see in Vancouver so you wont spend much time in this
hotel. the rooms differ in size and not necessarily according to the price (we
were in a group so we saw lots of the rooms) having all paid the same rate some
had better and bigger rooms than others. If you are not happy with the room you
are given ask to change. the staff are quite friendly and helpful.
great hotel, great stay !

Stayed 3 nights in King room with kitchenette. Served us well. The room and bed
were comfortable (facing north). Staff were friendly. Close enough to
Skytrain from airport to walk (5 or 6 blocks?).

My bed was hard and uncomfortable. I slept well the first night only because I
had just traveled 12 + hours. Asked the check in staff for a list of restaurants
or ones he would recommend, but he just gave us a map and circled where Yaletown
was (walking distance) and said there was a guest book in the room. Guestbook
wasn't too helpful either. About 10-15 mins to
Stanley Park,
Gastown, and
Canada Place. Located
right over the bridge near Granville Island, still didn't hear any traffic
outside my window, but that's probably because I had my heater blowing all
night. Had the heat set at 70 and it was still blowing out cold air, had to turn
it up to 75 to feel warm. Had to pay for parking, but I'm used to that for a
hotel in a city. Fitness center and pool located on the top floor, restaurant
attached-didn't check it out either. Free high speed internet. Business center
consists of one computer. Shuttle to downtown runs 7am to 7pm. Complimentary
bicycle rentals. I probably would not stay here again.

This hotel is located just a little south of
Downtown Vancouver, but you can
easily walk there. There is no breakfast service in the hotel, but attached to
the hotel there is nice restaurant where you can have a good breakfast. The
staff there is very friendly.
Please take in mind you'll have to pay for your parking space, it's about 15 CAD
a day.
Aqua Bus to
Granville Island is
just 2 blocks away, don't miss the visit to the market.

We were very pleased with the service provided. The staff were very helpful with
information on how to tour Vancouver. We really appreciated the shuttle service
to the cruise ship... all very well organized. Our room was as we requested and
we certainly appreciated bottled water in our room. I found the hotel through

We were in Vancouver for three days and loved it! The hotel is not far from
downtown and is a short walk to everything. Our room was very clean and
comfortable. We loved the rooftop terrace and sauna. Overall would recommend
this hotel.

I'm picky - and this is a good hotel - not fancy, but perfect if you are out all
day and just need a comfortable clean room. Free WiFi. Area is in transition but
safe. Ride the Canada Line from
Vancouver Airport and detrain at Roundhouse
station- hotel is a 7 minute walk. Great little restaurant nearby Twisted Fork.
Also recommend Provence
Marinaside and The Hub - both in
Yaletown . Vancouver is one of the very best cities to
Walk - so wear comfy
shoes and enjoy!

We stayed at the Best Western at 718 Drake Street in
Vancouver,
9/8/10 coming from New York to then board a
Cruise Ship the
next day . We had a few problems with the trip including lost luggage, and a mix
up on the transfer from the airport. None of the issues involved the hotel,
however they couldn't do enough to make it right. They ever upgraded our room to
the penthouse suite! The manager was outstanding!!!!! They really do care!
