The Blue Horizon is walking distance to many of Vancouver's attractions. The
exterior reminded me of an older apartment building that had been re-tiled with
aquatic blues. The rooms are basic but comfortable, each with a balcony
overlooking the city and studio style mini-kitchen. This hotel is great for the
price conscious traveler who wants to be near the sights. Located on Robson
Street, you can't be more centrally located in downtown Vancouver

The location of this hotel is the best! My daughter and I were able to walk
everywhere in Vancouver (left our car at the hotel). It is right down the street
from Stanley Park which is a must. Plus, it is in the heart of the Robson Street
shopping. It is a hopping area even after the stores close. The rooms are all on
corners and if you stay on an upper floor the view is fantastic. The rooms are
very spacious and the bed was so comfortable! There is a hot tub which was a
bonus since we didn't know before we arrived. To top it off, the restaurant
attached is Very Good!!!!

We stayed here for 1 night which was unplanned. We had looked at the prices on
line for hotels in the centre of Vancouver and this 1 seemed reasonable for the
location. We didnt book on line, as we wanted to see it first hand. We were
walk-ins and they asked us what rate we had seen it at, and that they would
match it. The price we saw was for a basic, low level room. We decided to
upgrade from that room, though we didnt see it. The room we were allocated was
newly upgraded and very spacious, with fantastic views over the city on the 31
floor. This hotel would be the perfect base for a city break. The location is
spot on for downtown and its easy to explore the rest of the city on foot from
here. There is also a lap pool (small), hot tub and sauna, though they all
appear a bit dated. A really enjoyable stay, though i think breakfast could be
included for the price we paid. It was elsewhere.

A very central hotel on Robson St. And the food in the restaurant was REALLY
good. We could not get hockey tickets, so we watched the game from the
restaurant-bar TV. Quieter and more pleasant than the big bar next door.
Check-in was speedy and easy. No frills hotel. No concierge, no bell-boys.
We had a 25th floor corner room and a view to English Bay on one side and
Vancouver harbour on the other. Not too shabby! A balcony with sliding doors and
lots of fresh air.
Our only complaint was that the dead bolt lock on our door did not work. We
complained, but it was not remedied. The door locked okay, but not bolted.

This was my third visit to The Blue Horizon Hotel. It is not a fancy, plush
hotel but it is in a great location. My first room smelt a little damp and on
returning to reception, I was immediately given another by a receptionist with a
great attitude. My room was large, very comfortable bed, extremely clean and a
good view of Robson Street. Internet is free, car parking is reasonable for
Vancouver and there are good tea and coffee making facilities. I would
definitely recommend it to anyone.

Loved this hotel, and the price couldn't be beat. Yes, the rooms are a bit
dated, but we were smack dab in the middle of everything. Staff was friendly,
rooms were clean, the breakfast downstairs was great with fantastic service.
We'll definitely be back!

Great location and the price was very good for this
Downtown spot. Nice and
friendly staff, had a great view room. Even the housekeepers were all smiles .
Check in and checkout process was easy and fast which is what I always like.
I will definitely be staying here again.
