stayed twice during July '10 and was pleased both times. It is best to
get rooms with higher floor to reduce street noise, though the hotel is
not that tall (5 floors, i think), but it does make a difference. Check
in was fast and there's covered, underground, secured parking. Rooms
were clean, spacious, the biggest disappointment would be the wireless
internet, slow, no really slow even in the common areas like lounge and
lobby.
Bartender Tim is a wealth of knowledge of the area and can help pass the
time.
secured room for bicycles
on site guest laundry
starbucks kiddie-corner
overall a very good place to stay for less than expected...will be back

We stayed only one night before departing on a cruise and thought that a
few miles out of the City wouldn't be too bad, perhaps we would even get
a higher quality hotel as a result.
Instead we found a hotel whose staff were reasonably pleasant and tried
hard but the room was poor (loose toilet seat, dripping tap) and the
overall experience disappointing.
Perhaps the best illustration was breakfast. We were pleased to see it
included but it turned out to be the most basic of cereal and toast with
only paper plates and plastic knives and forks available. The orange
juice appeared and tasted like someone was instructed to buy 1 litre of
juice then dilute with 10 litres of water,
All in all, by far the worst of 10 or so hotels we stayed in during our
wonderful holiday in Canada.

We have stayed at many hotels in our travels usually with great results
but i am afraid this location is getting a tad run down the king bed in
our room was lumpy and worn out... It is not in the best part of town to
access this location from the West you drive right thru all of the less
fortunate living on the streets and there are many!! I also found a bug
in my cereal and mouse droppings under out table there was some live
mouse traps in the breakfast room........ We always try to find the good
in everywhere we go but other than the nice staff there is not much more
to say here i am afraid.......

This hotel is great and so is the immediate neighborhood that the hotel
is in.
But just beware of E. Hastings Street between downtown Vancouver and
where the hotel is located.
When we got to the hotel our room was not ready so we decided to get the
all day bus/boat pass and visit the Suspension Bridge and Grouse
Mountain. By the time we were coming back it was around 10pm and we were
riding the public bus down Hastings street. Don't do this. If you use
one of these passes and you have to get back to this hotel, get off
downtown and take a cab. Hastings Street at night (and during the day)
is a scary place. Shelters everyone, people standing and sleeping all
over. You get the gist.
Hotel was great, just use cab service rather than public bus.
We ate at the sports bar next door and it was very good.
Room were comfortable although the air condition system in the room was
pretty noisy.
The best part of this hotel was that they offered free pick up from the
cruise ship terminal so that was very convenient.

The hotel staff was absolutely great. We stayed before boarding a cruise
ship. The staff helped us with the local bus transportation and getting
around was easy. The hop on hop off was great and can be booked at the
hotel. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance - a
Mexican restaurant that was pretty good - but the pitcher of Sangria SO
NOT worth the price. The bed were comfortable - place was clean. Would
ask for a room not facing the street if traffic noise bothers you but it
was fine for us. The free breakfast was fantastic! The shuttle to the
boat was free - shuttle from airport to hotel cost $7.00 for the both of
us!! The service was fantastic - and there is a liquor store and
drugstore within a block or two.! I would stay there again!

The Hotel is pretty new and this results in a great hotel for the price.
Nice, clean rooms with good quality appointments.
The hotel is in a random location (which was good for me, because I had
business in the Pacific Exhibition across the street). However, the
hotel more than makes up for it, with its free shuttle/taxi service. The
free breakfast is standard fare, but appreciated.
What I didn't like?
-Any room facing East Hastings Street is noisy. Mine, in particular
because it was on the 2nd floor above 'The Press Box' which is their
bar. This is in spite of me telling them I came for business. It was
ridiculously noisy on a Friday night.
-One staff member in particular I desired to punch in the face. I called
them and booked the shuttle mentioned above to pick me up at the
airport. They told me it would be there at 9:22PM... I waited in the
designated area till 9:55PM... frustrated, I took a taxi and paid the
$40. When I arrived at the hotel, no apology, no nothing... 'well, he
should have been there, that is why there are phones at the airport' Gee
thanks buddy, but I don't have change and I don't have your number, they
confirmed something and failed to follow through. A good hotel would
apologize, a GREAT hotel would offer to pay the taxi fare.

We stayed here for 5 days and it was a breeze staying there. Staff is
very friendly and hotel is clean and nice. We were happy to find that
beds were super comfy. Wireless speed is awesome and connecting to
hotstop unlike other hotels. This hotel also has free parking.
Altogether a very pleasant stay and we found a very reasonable rate on
