I just got back from a fantastic weekend in Vancouver which included two
nights at the Vancouver Pinnacle Marriott hotel. I arrived at the hotel
via taxi at around 10:30 PM on Friday and check-in was smooth and
painless.
The location is excellent, less than a block from the Olympic cauldron,
the convention center and BC place.
All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel and will stay there next
time I am in Vancouver.

I would highly recommend this hotel. My standard room seemed a little on
the small side, but the bright cheerful decor, the view (floor to
ceiling windows), and room comfort level made up for the size! Very nice
bathroom with separate bath and show, nice toiletries and lots of nice
towels. The staff were all very nice and helpful. I would not hesitate
to return.

Just a few minutes from the convention center. Standard business
Marriott with all expected amenities. Somewhat indifferent staff unable
to cope with large influx of arriving or departing guests at one time.
Had a meal in the bar which was surprisingly tasty. Very nice, chatty
barman - a plus for a business hotel where guests may be felling a bit
lonely.

Location is great. Short walk to all restaurants & shopping. Rooms are
clean, well taken care of. Bed is absolutely horrible! You can't find
harder beds anywhere else. Attitude of front desk staff is not greatest
for sure... Bell staff & servers were great!!

I had a 4-night stay in this Marriott to participate in a medical
congress held at the Convention Center, 100 meters away. The hotel is
situated in the heart of downtown, near the Vancouver harbor and the sea
walking promenade. Check-in was fast. My room was on the 16th floor,
overlooking the sea and the city. The room was of rather small size but
luxuriously decorated, creating a relaxing ambient, with flat screen TV,
coffee maker, as well as a mini bar which was however totally empty. The
bathroom was very small in size but it had all the usual amenities. The
breakfast, served in the "Show Case" restaurant on the lobby floor, was
relatively good but nothing special. It could be better in terms of
variety and according to the Marriott hotels chain level. The hotel had
also a fitness center and an indoor heated pool which however was not so
"heated" and not so well organized (lockers, pool staff etc). The "Show
Case" bar in the lobby floor was almost good for a short stay for an
after dinner drink. The lobby lounge, in front of the reception area,
was very small (a totally of 15 - 20 persons seating capacity). The most
negative point of the hotel was that the public spaces, ie the
restaurant and the bar "show case", were not so beautifully decorated
and attractive to seat, giving a sense of overall poor quality. In
contrast, guest floors and rooms gave a sense of luxury and really they
were!. All the personnel was well trained, helpful and polite. In
conclusion, a relatively pleasant stay in a very beautiful city.

Visited the Marriott Pinnacle Downtown for a quick trip and I have to
compliment April for a great restaurant suggestion, Cactus Club Cafe.
She gave us precise directions and it was the exactly what we were
looking for. The room was very clean and the rest of the staff we
encountered were very friendly and warm, Overall, Nice Job! |
