I really enjoyed my stay at the Metropolitan Hotel in downtown
Vancouver. I got a great deal on a room. The room was very clean and
comfortable. I did not hear the construction that was going on near the
hotel. The gym could be a bit bigger with a few more treadmills but
overall it was good. The only drawback I thought was the adjacent
restaurant while good, is expensive. It would be nice to have a cheaper
option say for breakfast. There are lots of restaurants in the area
though so consider going out.

Charming hotel, the rooms are lovely. Great staff, both in the hotel and
in the restaurant - all the staff I interacted with went out of their
way to be helpful, including accommodating my request for an early
check-in and a late check-out, and providing unsolicited assistance to
my cab driver when he obviously did not understand my destination
instructions. The staff at this hotel looks after its guests in a 5-star
way.

Stayed for a week in March 2011. Would recommend this hotel to anyone
interested in good service in a downtown location. Convenient for
Skytrain from airport to Vancouver City Centre station .

This is an excellent hotel in a great city. I only wish the British
could match the kind of friendly and genuine service routinely received
here. Perfect location for Downtown Vancouver. Great rooms. Good value.

My husband and I had a wonderful night away at Metropolitan Hotel. We
were impressed with the hotel. The room was beautiful and clean. It was
a very relaxing atmosphere and I'd have to say it was probably the best
sleep I've had in a long time. The location was great as well. We were
in walking distance of all our destinations for the weekend. The front
office staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a great
experience for us.

This lovely property is tucked behind one of Vancouver's historic
monuments Hotel Georgia, and across the street from a well known 5
Diamond property. It is located directly across the street from the mall
downtown and has all the amenities of the neighboring property. Fretta
Bathrooms and towels, incredibly soft feather pillows and pillow top
mattress. The patina is modern but not trendy. The restaurant Diva is
great as well as the service everyone provides in the property. Be sure
to try their Chocolate Cookies! Literally mmm chocolaty goodness! Don't
let the lack of major branding fool you, it is actually very refreshing
to have an experience at a hotel that stands on it's own. Nice fitness
center and indoor pool. Very clean and comfortable!

The Metropolitan Hotel in Vancouver is a great choice if you want to
stay downtown Vancouver. They are VERY conveniently located across from
Pacific Centre and a few blocks from Robson Street in one direction and
the waterfront and Gastown in the other. The rooms are well appointed
with very comfortable beds are though the rooms are not large, they have
large bathrooms with a lot of counter space. We have used the hotel a
number of times for when we are just popping into the city for a one
night stay. They have a very good restaurant in the hotel named Diva at
the Met which should be tried if you are visiting the city.
