This hotel lacks in style but is clean, rooms are old but ok to stay. The bad thing is the staff, exceptionally bad and unfriendly. Very much not helpful, especially the guy at the reception desk. Also the advertised Wi Fi doesnt work plus u get no discount.
Next time Ill stay somewhere else.

The hotel's definitely run-down, the room has lots of finish problems, there were patches in the enamel on my sink, the rug was old, etc., but it didn't look dirty, just poorly-maintained. Where I was sort of brought up short, however, was that my second-floor room was within walking distance of the hotel's entrance overhand. Someone small could relatively easily have gotten up on the overhang and entered into any number of rooms on the second floor through the window . I considered asking for a room change, but didn't, although I'd suggest checking it out for yourself before settling in. I needed a central Vancouver location to stay for one night and on that note Bosman's fit the bill. It was easy to get to, parking in their lot was in and out. Some people might had an issue with the traffic on Howe, but not a problem for me. I had a Saturday morning seminar to go to, and I'd been sort of looking forward to getting a leisurely breakfast to get me through the day but the attached restaurant didn't open at 7 (nor did it have any posted hours) which was disappointing. So, the doors locked, the shower worked, it was relatively inexpensive and it was close to where I needed to be.

Last weekend I went up to Vancouver with some friends, thinking we'd get a cheap room at the Bosman's. Biggest mistake of the weekend. Don't be fooled by the price, it's not worth it. The staff was rude, and kept track of every person who came in and out of the hotel's only entrance and exit. When we tried to have some friends up to the room for drinks, the guy said no guests were allowed. The room was hot, the sink leaked, the beds were dirty. If you have extra people you are trying to sneak in or are under the age of 50, do not stay at this hotel. Worst hotel stay of my life.

This Hotel is a good location. I do really feel like appreciate to stay over here so much. It's very easy to find out. The important thing, it's too easy to go from the Vancouver airport to the Bosman's Hotel at the downtown by the Sky train. I could go to Granville Island Market by walking along the road and bridge. Moreover, the room is so clean than I thought.

I chose the hotel because it was located Downtown Vancouver, within walking distance of some big attractions, and offered free parking. But these conveniences did NOT make up for the absolutely awful service and poor room conditions. The front desk clerks were rude and aloof. The floor lamp wouldn't turn on The table in our room rocked back and forth and was missing part of the its lining so that the particleboard was showing through. When I called down to the front desk asking for a replacement, and noting that we were afraid to place our wine glasses on the table, I was told that he was the only person on duty and couldn't do anything about it. Could I maybe use the nightstand instead? There was also a light bulb missing above the vanity in the bathroom.

Ah the Bosman. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times and each time i do i think, i really need to find a better place to stay.
The Bosman gets one star for being a such a great central location. The parking is free and easily accessible. That is worth a second star.
The price, although a less then other hotels in the area, is far overpriced for what you're getting. $80 for a dirty hotel room.
The floor often has a greasy feel as you walk on it. It has the bare bones of amenities in the bathroom. Soap, towel, shampoo.
The last time i stayed there, housekeeping walked right in without even knocking. Very rude. After that i don't think i'll be going back.
Although i have stayed here a few times. I do not recommend it. Spend the extra $10-$20 and stay somewhere clean.

Bosman's wasn't too bad. The price was definitely right compared to everything else. Parking and WiFi were free. But you still get what you pay for. The cleaning ladies were very polite and efficient. The drawbacks are that the hotel felt a little on the dirty side. Not dirty in the real sense. But dirty in the sense of carpet stains in the hallways, ripped wall paper, grubbiness in the tiny cracks between surfaces, etc. The place looks and feels like it's been around a while. The only thing I really didn't like was the WiFi didn't work the first Friday night until the desk clerk reset the system on Saturday morning. And then it went down again on Sunday morning, presumably needing another reset. They do not have a company remotely maintaining the WiFi like most hotels do

Good location, good price. So, so room
Pretty bare bones room, not in great shape. Free parking and within walking distance of many stores and attractions. Ok for price.

The price was excellent with parking, room surprisingly clean and in very good shape. Hotel a bit run down from outside, 50 cents for local calls, otherwise couldn't beat the location or price. Would stay again.

Yes the ice machine didn't work, the area was fine to walk around in at all hours and very very convenient.
