This is our second time at the same premises. We just loved
everything about it - on the corner of the famous Robson Street,
close to everything. The staff was very helpful, friendly....the
accommodation perfect, clean and a pleasure to walk into when
you come back after a long day out on the town - thumbs up at
all times.

The front office staff is not very friendly. So if you don't
have to deal with them, the room is alright. The location is
excellent as we walked everywhere. Learn to take the bus & the
subway.

Way More Then I Expected
After reading a lot of the other reviews on the hotel I was
worried about what I was going to find. So I was surprised to
find a great hotel with well kept rooms. Its location is
convenient and the staff was very helpful.

We stayed here for 7 nights, and found the location to be the
best aspect of the stay. The hotel itself was good too, with
helpful staff and tidy room. Considering the price, I was more
than happy with the stay. With great views from the 19th floor,
just be alert that the elevators can be a bit annoying from that
height. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again
if coming to Vancouver.

This was our third time in 6 years, and each time we have
enjoyed the suite and being in the neighborhood. But this time
the stained carpet, generally dowdy furnishings and
uncomfortable bed were disappointing. Redecorating is needed.

The staff were always ready to help, giving suggestions of
things to do, timetables, directions and even temporary luggage
storage. Comfortable space for 3 of us.
Right in the middle of everything; restaurants, shopping,
museums, etc & transportation.
Maintenance was there to help in 10 mins. Would definitely stay
again.

AviaWest is a timeshare operation that owns some mini-suites in
Vancouver. Once you check in you are a 2nd rate citizen in the
building. The AviaWest service desk opens late and closes early.
The front desk wants nothing to do with you. The AviaWest rooms
are badly maintained. a recent "remodel" resulted in cheap
carpet installation that created a tripping hazard. A faulty
door lock took over 4 hours to be repair while we were unable to
leave the unsecured room. Noise complaints were ignored by the
front desk all night long until a call to the police shut down
the party and allowed us to get some sleep. Complaints filed
with AviaWest were ignored.

Staff at both Aviawest office and
Rosedale
Hotel on Robson were both
polite and helpful. Rooms were of a good cleanliness and fully
equipped - kitchenette was ideal for the family and meant that
some meals could be made in the room (great if you're on a
budget!) Excellent location, right in the heart of Vancouver,
within walking distance of Robson street shopping district and
not too far from
Stanley Park in Vancouver, if you don't mind a bit of a
walk, or hire cycles from a nearby shop.
Just a couple of niggles, the fridge and air conditioning units
were a bit on the noisy side, (we ended up putting the children
in the main bedroom to avoid the noise) and the remote in the
bedroom wasn't working. I have to say, that as these were the
only complaints I have, it was overall a great stay and I would
recommend.

We've had the opportunity to stay at Aviawest at the Rosedale a
few times and thoroughly enjoyed each stay. The suites are well
maintained, clean and comfortable, and equipped with everything
you could hope for. Full kitchen, stereo system, DVD player
(complimentary DVD's in the Aviawest office)... and much more.
The bed (s) were VERY comfortable and not once was I, (a very
light sleeper), bothered by any noise.
The rooftop garden is so pretty and relaxing and the view from
the rooms was beautiful.
The hotel is close to so many wonderful and interesting places.
The library, Gastown,
Granville Island,
Rogers Arena , wonderful
restaurants...all within walking distance.
The Aviawest staff has always been very courteous and helpful
and the only complaint I can think of...is that at some point,
we always have to leave. ;)
Highly recommend.
