This place is ok if you just want a place to sleep. There are
absolutely no amenities. Although, It is centrally located with
restaurants and nightlife within easy walking distance. If you
are in any way shape or form disabled be warned, there are no
elevators and there is no wheel chair access into the lobby.

The first night we
were subjected to 3 Canadian girls arguing violently in the
hallway until 3am - the hotel staff did not call the police as
they repeatedly threatened that they would. Room was old and
basic (which was expected of the price) but after a day, we
notice blood stains on the sheets and bites around our ankles.
The ceilings were also really thin and we could hear everything
happening above us. Would NOT recommend.

The price was reasonable for the location, but this Hotel is no
good for people who want to avoid stairs. The room was very
basic and small, and it was unfortunate the old A/C unit in our
room didnt work. If you are looking for a bit more luxury as
opposed to cost then you might look further

The Barclay Hotel on
Robson Street
in Vancouver is a very basic hotel, good for somewhere to crash.
First room we got was small the second was better. Their
breakfast is ok. Nothing too special. Front desk were friendly
enough.

We were very happy with our stay at the Barclay Hotel. Great
comfy beds and big rooms and fantastic location. A wee bit hot
from the radiators but it was -17 degrees outside, so no
complaining. Good value breakfast. I would defiantly stay there
again and recommend to everyone. The Hotel is not the nicest
hotel on Robson but if it is economy you are looking for and
location this will do.

it was OK for an odd night I wouldn't like to stay longer. The
beds are clean and so are the towels but the whole place is
jaded and tired. The bathroom could have done with a good scrub
and I didn't chance the shower! There is no lift and I had to
struggle up the flight of stairs to reception and although my
room the first night was on the ground floor it was on the first
the second night and ther is no lift. The staff were helpful and
attentive and the place was very busy but I'd not want to stay
there for the whole of my vacation. I'd recommend this hotel for
an odd night in transit but no longer.

Our room was huge, and unexpectedly came with a separate large lounge.
Decor is a bit tired, and facilities are limited, but its priced
accordingly. A very easy walk Downtown and to Coal Harbour, where the
seaplanes take off, so excellent location. Overall, not special, but a
fine place to sleep for a weekend in Vancouver.

We stayed here for three nights and especially liked the location on
Robson street. Stanley Park and downtown are only a short walk away. The
hotel itself has small rooms but they are totally sufficient if you just
sleep there. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you want to you can have
continental breakfast in a pub in the basement of the hotel (but we
didnīt try). This hotel is excellent if you need a place to sleep for a
reasonable price, without any luxury . We would definitely come again. |
