We stayed at this hotel Apr 28 - May 5, 2010. We were very pleased with
staff, rooms, 2nd floor outdoor patio and room rate. The overall
experience was great. We were driving a van and found parking a bit
tight, but manageable. The Salt & Pepper Restaurant next door was an
added bonus. Good food and great staff!! We would definitely recommend
this hotel.

Note the high ceilings! A great stay.
Nice bathroom
Nice view from the room I spent eight nights in this hotel, which was a
great value and a great stay. It was certainly a step above what you
might expect for the price/star rating: really comfortable beds,
beautiful views, very high ceilings (on the 4th floor), reliable
high-speed internet and very clean, modern surroundings. The location is
perfect, being right on the 99 B-Line which is one stop away from the
Canada Line, a few stops from the Skytrain, and on the direct line to
UBC.
The breakfast room was perfectly fine, despite what many of the other
reviews state. Sure, it didn't have any windows, but it was fairly
spacious and had a great complimentary selection of pastries, bagels,
hard-boiled eggs, etc.
I've stayed in several hotels and this was a great place, and I'll be
staying there in the future. The staff was very friendly, the
cleanliness perfect, and all in all a great stay.

We stayed at this hotel April 16th & 17th.2010 and have to admit I was
impressed. We had room #216 which faced the inside courtyard, was nice
and quite, bed was very comfortable and clean (no bed bugs). Staff was
very friendly, continental breakfast was good (lot's to select from).
Salt & Pepper Grill next door, small mall across the street. Underground
parking is limited, but we had no problems

I was really impressed with this hotel! Definitely above the standard
Best Western experience. I was there on business, but it really ended up
feeling like a mini-vacation while at the hotel. Great service, super
comfy bed, great location...the breakfast was nothing to write home
about, but totally decent and there are some cute coffee shops nearby if
you something a little nicer. Overall it was a great time!
The free underground parking was a definite plus!
I also liked being next to a grocery store, definitely saved me some
money during my extended stay. There are lots of great restaurants
within walking distance too.

It's just a budget hotel so there was nothing to write home about but it
was good value. The room was nice, huge bathroom, and really good
selection at breakfast.
It's a little way out of town but once we got our bearings it was easy
to get to.

Vancouver hotels are usually expensive. This hotel is notable for its
great value; reliable Best Western comfort and good value in an
expensive city. I stayed twice in the past week in two separate rooms.
Pros:
*Comfortable beds
*Good lighting
*Good work stations for laptops (free Best Western wireless)
*Nice furniture
*Good location if you have a car or are using the bus, looks like a 10
minute walk to Science World
*Secure underground parking
*Great staff, at both the Front Desk and in the Housekeeping department
*Complimentary breakfast with good quality food
*Grocery store right next door
Cons:
*Old fashioned TVs… where are the flat screens?
*Fitness Centre does not open until 8:00 AM. This is nuts!
*Some of the rooms facing the main drag can be noisy from the traffic
below. Request a room along the side or at the back.

The Best Western Uptown Hotel (Vancouver) was well maintained, neat, and
situated well for access to Skytrain, bus links, and the Vancouver Train
Terminal. Relatively inexpensive for a Vancouver city hotel. The
location on East Broadway is also convenient for many Broadway cafes and
restaurants that have some character, such as Our Town Cafe.

friendly staff, free continental breakfast. Location, wireless internet
in lobby only. The hotel is a $15 cab ride to downtown Vancouver, the
rooms are not special but they have new beds, the lobby area is small
and the hotel has no pool or exercise area. The area is not a place to
go for a walk at night. For just a place to stay it is ok. Nothing
special about the hotel. The staff is the best thing the hotel has going
for it.

Front desk a bit slow, girl at front when I checked out seemed more
interested in her phone convo than dealing with a guest. Room was
f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g when we checked in. (Right beside the weight room so
really drafty) We had to wait about an hour for the heater to warm up
the room. Washroom remained icy as no air flow in there.
All in all restaurant was good, room was clean, and a really reasonable
rate I would stay there again but next time I'll request a warmer room.

Arrived here and writing this review on the very first day! I'm very impressed
with the room itself as it has all the necessary things which i didn't expect
for a hotel that was meant to be 2-3 star.
It has microwave, wifi, fridge, iron, ironing board, and so much more which I
didn't expect!
Really nice welcome for me... coming all the way from Malaysia and a tiring 18
hour journey!
Will write more ...as the stay progresses, of my impressions. But so far, so
good... I'd recommend this place thus far..

We choose to stay at the Best Western Uptown whenever we attend something in
downtown Vancouver. It is far enough away from the crazy city noise, yet a short
cab ride back and forth (or a walk in the summer). Friendly staff, free parking,
great little restaurant attached, and continental breakfast. Had my laptop this
time and wireless was easy to connect and very fast. Room had all the amenities
we needed, good coffee and it is clean clean clean. You can tell the Owners and
Managers actually care about the property. We will always go back.
