We had a really short visit to Carmana Plaza, arriving at 1am and departing in the morning. However, we found our suite to be very pleasant -- clean, large, comfortable. The desk staff were helpful. The location is very central. Overall, it was a great value and a good choice for us. I would certainly stay here again, especially if travelling for a longer time and we could make use of the kitchen facilities.

We recently stayed at the Carmana Plaza for 3 nights at the start of our family holiday in the Rockies, and again for one night before flying home. Great to arrive after a long journey to be greated by courteous staff, and to find such a comfortable and clean place to stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On our return trip we left our luggage at the hotel when checking out, and they ordered a taxi to the airport for us that afternoon. The hotel is in a good location - only a few minutes walk to the water, we walked everywhere from the hotel, and would highly recommend. Given the location, it's good value for money.

We stayed at the Carmana Plaza at the end of August and next time we return to Vancouver we will stay there again.

The hotel and apartment was very clean, staff nice and helpful.

Across the road is a superb supermarket called 'Urban Fayre' which had everything you needed to stock the kitchen as well as coffee and deli snacks to take out. Also close by is an 7/11, Tim Hortons and liquor store.

The Location is ideal for getting around downtown and we felt very safe in the area.

This is good value for money when comparing to the tariffs for similar quality accommodation in downtown in either a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Stayed here enroute to a cruise. It's pretty close to the cruise ship piers and very well located in a nice neighborhood in one of the nice parts of Vancouver. Its a small, somewhat non-nondescript hotel in general, but the suites are great as everyone says. Makes a great home base for families, or for extended stays. Definitely highly recommend it. Nice gourmet food store right across the street so you can utilize the kitchen.

We arrived early (really early as we just completed an Alaskan cruise). The staff was so nice letting us check into our room. They also helped us with ideas for site seeing since we hadn't planned anything in particular. We only stayed one night and we were sad to leave. The room was very nice and clean - basically like an apartment. Loved the individual coffee cup maker. The location was great! Right in active part of town with shops and restaurants.

Me and my girlfriend recently stayed at Carmana Plaza. The check in process was very easy, the front desk staff were very helpful with all of our requests.

We were staying in the Carmana rooms, on the 31st floor. For 220 dollars a night, you CANNOT go wrong staying here. It was much nicer than I expected. The room does not feel like a hotel at all. It feels like you are staying in someone's very nicely appointed condo. When you walked in the room it has a spacious front entrance with marble tiles and a closet. The whole room was very new and clean, the windows allowed for amazing views all day. The room had a 42" lcd with 5.1 surround system, which came in very handy for listening to music. The living room also had a nice glass table for eating. The kitchen had everything you could want for cooking. The room decor is very modern and nice to look at, much better than stuffy 'retro' hotel rooms like Fairmont. The balcony had the most amazing view I have ever had in a hotel room.

The bedroom was well appointed, with a comfy bed, lcd tv mounted on the bedroom wall and ensuite bathroom. The bathroom was average, it was very clean and new so I cannot complain.

The location could not have been any better, you are close to everything you would want to go and see. Bars, Restaurants, Shopping, Stanley Park are all walking distance. In fact, we only took 1 cab the entire trip.

I would highly recommend Carmana Plaza to anyone, I will definitely return!

This was our first time in Vancouver and picked this hotel from previous reviews. I have to say that we weren't disappointed. After having just arrived from a 14 hour flight, it was great to be arriving into a comfortable apartment which was more like home than a hotel and easy to crash out in. Having two bedrooms was great as we could put our little girl to bed and still be able to sit up and talk, like we do at home. The ensuite in the main bedroom was also a pleasant surprise as were the lcd TV's and very comfortable beds. The bedrooms were quite compact, but that is fine as you have the large living area.

The kitchen came well equipped with cooker, oven, microwave, dishwasher and large fridge as well as coffee maker (tea and coffee are supplied). There is also a large gourmet supermarket directly opposite the hotel, a 7-11 nearby and a liquor store virtually next door. It is also a short walk to many restaurants and shops running parallel to Robson street so a really excellent central location. It is also within walking distance of Stanley Park (approx. 15 - 20 mins).

We would have no hesitation in booking it again if we return to Vancouver.

We booked this Hotel after reading it's reviews - and its as good as everyone says - we had a huge one bedroom apartment with fab views. It was quiet, clean, comfortable and an excellent location a couple of blocks from everywhere - we walked the whole of Vancouver from this place - access to Granville Island, the front with the seaplanes - Stanley Park is literally at the bottom of the road - just fab!

We had a very well appointed clean 1 bedroom apartment for our 4 night stay in Vancouver. The kitchenette had everything you would need to prepare your own meals – we ate out only 1 night during our stay.
The location was excellent, being very central to Downtown near Robson Street and a supermarket across the street. All the attractions were within a good walk.

The friendly staff were knowledgeable and helpful being able to answer all our questions and guide us in the right direction.
While we travel, we are constantly using the internet to plan the next leg of our trip and indeed the activities for the next day. It was a shock then to find that the internet fee was quite significant. It was free everywhere else we stayed in Canada.
We also had some problems with the hot water. Some mornings the shower water simply never became warm. We never received an adequate explanation for this from the staff.
All things being equal though, this is a quality apartment hotel and our problems were minor.

For 1/2 the price of the big name hotels you will get a very nice 1 bedroom apartment with, living room with TV and VCR with optional pull out bed, King size bed with flat screen TV in the bedroom, full small kitchen, lots of storage and a breakfast nook ( or balcony depending on room) proper quiet heat/AC and full security where your key will only let you to your floor. Secure parking is also available.

Although there is no restaurant you are only steps away from many coffee shops, restaurants and fine dining and the heart of downtown vancouver...Robson street.

I have stayed here at least once a year for the last 8 years and Carmana never disappoints,

It is clean, neat and well kept. My only regret is letting too many people know about it may make it hard to get a reservation when i want!
