We had a fantastic view, English bay to the left, grouse mountain to the front,
and coal harbour to the right.
our room on the 24th floor had a full size fridge to keep your drinks cold in, a
(somewhat noisy ) heater. air con and the balcony that comes as standard with
this hotel. don't bother with hotel breakfast unless you have already paid for
it $18 for a lackluster buffet, hmm, head instead to Mary's hamburger restaurant
on Davie street, fabby Yukon breakfast for $8 or pop across the bridge to the
tomahawk diner for pancakes to die for.
would stay in this hotel again ( it could do with some updating but everything
worked and was cleaned daily) only thing missing was a decent local pub. every
different food you can imagine is right there on Robson - recommend steamroller
burritos. personally he Chinese buffet on the right side of Robson was a turn
off.

Spent a week here on my first visit to Vancouver. My room was large, with two
beds, large closet, bathroom and a kitchenette. Even a table and chairs and the
beer fridge was a big bonus.
I was on the 21st floor and my friend was ten floors above, so I got to see the
views in both directions. Perfect for me as I was on a smoking floor.
The lobby staff were excellent at all times, and the cleaning staff were superb,
supplying extra stuff at my request.
Parking was easy and cheap at $10.00 per day. The television is old and crummy,
but if you're staying at a hotel, you shouldn't be sitting around watching TV
except for the weather channel to help plan your day. Internet access was only
negative, a staggering $70.00 for six days.
I know when I return to Vancouver, and I will, this is where I will stay.

The hotel is in the town center, just 10 minutes away from the sea and really
close to the night life.
It's one of the highest hotels in town, with 42 floors. On the top floor there
is a wonderful restaurant with an amazing 360 degrees view all over the
Vancouver
The view is amazing also from the higher rooms.
The rooms are spacious, with two beds, SAT TV, refrigerator, phone.
Our room had a balcony, which didn't look very new and could use some retouch.
The bathroom is spacious, with a tub.
The breakfast was really good self-servise with many deverse food and drink.
The lobby is really nice and so is the presonel. You can also find a small
souvenir shopp in the lobby. There is a limit with parking if you have a higher
van. So you have to ask what's the hight limit (I forgot). I think there is also
a bussines center, internet and fitness. The rooms and the hotel was clean and
close to everything, so I really recomand it.

whenever I'm in Vancouver. Staff is friendly rooms are clean though they are a
little on the small side. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Empire Landmark Hotel is really not a bad hotel for the price. The lobby is
updated and looks relatively chic. The rooms are a tad small and the balconies
are more like step-outs, however the views are spectacular. I had a room with an
unobstructed mountain view. The location isn't bad, but it is a good walk (4
blocks at least) to the hustle and bustle of Robson St. If you plan to party,
plan to cab it! Overall, I would stay here again.

First the good things about this hotel- location, location, location. Well,
that's one thing, I know. The hotel is centrally located and is within walking
distance of most of downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. If you've been to a
Motel 6 or a Quality 8 Motel, then you are already familiar with the room
amenities of this hotel. This is one of the biggest hotels in Vancouver in terms
of number of rooms and it has- I'm not making this up- one ice machine (actually
two, but they are together on the 22 floor). This is all the more astonishing
since the rooms don't have little refrigerators (our room didn't). The
televisions are old-fashioned, small screens at belly button level on a table.
At least they are smart enough to know they don't need to bolt them down- who
would steal them? The towels are hanging in the shower stall- an indication of
how small the bathrooms are. The hotel is amazing noisy- both street noises and
internal plumbing noises. Giving this hotel a three star rating is a stretch- I
would give it a two star rating.

This is an old hotel on Robson Street near Stanley Park. We were pleased with
the hotel. Be sure to request a room on the upper floors and ask for a view of
English Bay. The revolving restaurant is cool. The hotel could use a good
cleaning and an overall paint job, and some maintenance in places. I noticed the
upper floors had been re-done but not the lower ones so be careful which floor
you stay on (we stayed on #39). But, for a good rate, we had a spectacular view
and good service. The location is perfect for downtown Vancouver sight-seeing.

The Empire Landmark is a moderate hotel with clean if somewhat shabby rooms.
They seem to cater to Asian tourists - the written materials in our room (menus
for the restaurant, phone use guide, etc) were all primarily in an Asian
language - Japanese or Korean, I think. As far as we could tell there is no room
service, but we don't read Japanese, so who knows. The view was gorgeous and the
bed clean and comfortable.
I don't think the location is that great - it's not on the main stretch of
Robson, it's a little further out, so you've got a bit of an uphill trek to get
the shopping and Art Gallery area. But it's not out in the boonies by any means.
The TV was an old, small thing that just got some basic cable channels - no
movie channels and very little selection.
I particularly liked that it was quiet - we were right on the elevators and
didn't hear them in our room, and I didn't hear any sound from neighboring rooms
at all.
My main gripe is with the staff, who were cool, unsmiling, generally uneager to
assist, and in one incident downright rude.
My final take on it is, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency earlier this year for
about $20 more a night, and it is a much, much nicer hotel with much nicer
rooms, friendlier staff and a better location

We stayed one night in order to attend the Rod Stewart concert (outstanding).
Staff were very helpful, stashing our bicycles in secure storage. The view from
our room was over the city towards BC Place, and we walked - half an hour - to
GM Place for the concert. The hotel is on Robson Street, which is very
interesting for a leisurely stroll. Close to Granville Island market and Stanley
Park. Our rate ($160 with tax) included a fine cooked breakfast at their resto
on the 42nd floor, Cloud 9, which revolves at night. Definitely recommended.

We asked for a "view room" because we were in Vancouver for the fireworks. We
stayed on the 37th floor and yes, we did have a great view. The room however is
very dated and the bathroom is in dire need of an update. We ordered food from
WhiteTower (Excellent food). Would not recommend the Landmark unless you want an
expensive OLD room.

The Empire Landmark is located on Robson St. It’s a good location in that you
can just get out and you’re on the shopping/food street. Hotel located at ending
part of Robson St so it’s a bit quieter ie. less shopping activity. The rooms
offer a great view of downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park, Kits Beach. The first
room that we got wasn’t really made up - the room was in a mess. They eventually
moved us to another room on a higher floor. The room didn’t come with a fridge.
The bed wasn’t really a queen-sized bed but rather it’s a twin bed so it’s a bit
tight. Everything was fine except for the last night when the air conditioner
started spewing out hot air instead of cold air. We called the reception and
they mentioned that they had no one on site to fix the problem at that time (it
was 10pm). The next day we checked out and feedback our issue. The person in
charge mentioned that some technical guy was actually in the building at that
time last night.

This hotel was well worth the money considering all the factors such as
location, cleanliness and comfort. The only issue we had was with the restaurant
service, but the food and view was great. The hotel bed was comfortable enough
and we had a great view, but the room was a little cold "for us gals". I would
recommend everyone to stay at this hotel when visiting!

The bed was comfortable but there were loud party goers outside late at night. I
was up on the 10th floor at least and heard the noise. TV really needs updating,
but the overall room was spacious and the room was clean. We also had problems
with the clearance of our vehicle in the parking structure, we rented a large
van. Had to park on street and put coins in meter at 7am but I believe it was
cheaper than parking in the lot provided.
Very close to cruise line, which would make this hotel a plus if you need to
pick up people as we did the next day.

We decided to take a last minute trip to Vancouver and booked the hotel a day
before our arrival. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel room
that we stayed in was quite small but it suited our purpose. It had a king size
bed and a decent size washroom. The view from our balcony was very nice
overlooking part of the harbour and Stanley park. The actual location of the
hotel is very good as well, you are right on robson street and there are a lot
of restaurants and shopping on that street. The Empire also had a restaurant
called Cloud 9. we did not try it but i heard that the food was pretty good and
the views are amazing.

3.5 but I will round up. I was happy with the room we stayed in. Yes, they are
kind of small but it was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. It is also
close to a lot of cool shops and restaurants.
For $10 you get to park in the parking garage, and believe me, it was a life
saver. And I do mean life saver. What if I parked out on the street, got out of
my car and then got hit by another car? That didn't happen because I parked in
the parking garage.
The views are amazing...from what I hear. There was a heavy fog in the city so
we couldn't really see a thing. The next morning though, it cleared up enough so
we can see the mountains and the city and it was breathtaking.
Pretty good hotel and next time I come to Vancouver I will check out the deals
here.

the room was clean and the view was amazing. if it would end there, i would give
it five stars, but unfortunately it doesn't.
the hotel's motto is, "a view with a room." well, we didn't get a view because
it was foggy. we didn't see a thing because of the dense fog. so that really
sucked.
perhaps they would have been able to redeem themselves with their service... but
service was a little slow. we got to the hotel at 2:30 and they said the room
wouldn't be ready until 3:00. really? shouldn't you have the room ready incase
of an early check in?
but other than that, the room was comfy and cozy. the sheets were clean. but
next time, i might have to spend a bit more money and go for a true four star
hotel. because this is more like a 3.5 and i will round down. :)
