The room was somewhat small, but clean, quiet, comfortable, and reasonably
priced. The hotel is within walking distance of many city attractions. This was
a great choice of locations to stay in Vancouver, but all the more so due to
their concierge, Albert.
Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by Albert with a fantastic, warm smile.
He showed us to our room, described every amenity the hotel offered, and then at
our request, gave up top notch recommendation on where to go and what to see
during our short stay so we could get the most out of our visit. The personal
attention was beyond anything we have experienced in typical hotel stays but
then it got even better. On our first night we bought postcards to send to
family but we arrived late and hadn't had a chance to mail them. Albert offered
to drive us to the main post office (at 10:00 PM!!) because he said they process
mail all night for morning dispatch and this would help get our cards delivered
to family before we got back. Few concierges would do this for something so
small as a few postcards, but Albert made the hospitality of Vancouver shine
with his extra effort and helped make our wedding anniversary even more special.

My husband and I enjoyed our visit to Vancouver very much because of the great
rate, central location and hospitality (evening wine tasting, yummy breakfast in
cozy restaurant) of this hotel. Room was small but comfortable.

Took the Romance Package and upgraded to a Honeymoon Suite. Excellent value for
money. The room was large and well appointed. Clean, quiet and friendly staff.
La Valle restaurant in the hotel is a perfect match for this hotel. Small, good
food and good service. Good location for access to Granville Island, Yaletown
and Sunset Beach/English Bay. Easy walk to Robson Street.

We booked this Hotel for 3 nights while staying in Downtown Vancouver for my
birthday. Location wise: It is located right by the ferry to get to Granville
Island which turned out to be very convenient. We would walk 2 blocks down to
catcht he ferry, check out the market and brewery on Granville Island, then take
the ferry on to Yaletown for dinner, and then walk back to our hotel (15 min).
It is also a 5minute walk to the where all of the clubs and lounges are. A
little far to walk to Robson and Stanley Park, but a very short cab ride.
Overall, not a bad location. Hotel: When we first checked in, we were greeted
very warmly by the concierge. They checked us into a tiny tiny room at first,
but we called down and checked to see if there was a bigger room available and
the woman at the front desk was very sweet and switched us to a larger room (the
Orsini, it's called) with no extra charge and no fuss. The hotel has a small hot
tub that never got busy, so it was like having your own hot tub and a gym that
had everything you need for a quick workout. I would definitely recommend this
hotel for someone who is on a budget.

Overall this hotel was awesome. I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could. $27
cab ride from the airport, great downtown location next to Granville Island,
shopping and the beach. Walking distance to Stanley Park and other downtown
attractions, and bus stops everywhere nearby. The traffic was sometimes a bit
noisy from our room (we were on the 6th floor), but I think any of the downtown
hotels would be that way, and it wouldn't keep me from staying here again. Our
room was smallish but modern and very clean, with a cool view of downtown. A
free glass of wine every day in the restaurant offered a nice way to try
different regional wines before venturing out for dinner. The best part about
this hotel, however, was how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff was. I
cannot say enough good things about them!

We got a SUPER discount, which is why we booked here. I thought a wine "happy
hour" would be nice too, but the "tasting" was just that - a small glass of
whatever they had as special for the evening. And it was only Monday - Saturday,
so since our stay was Friday - Monday, we only had four total glasses! My
husband didn't like the beds, but I was pretty comfortable. The location is very
good, but there is a Quality Inn next door, and I would probably stay there next
time unless they offered a great deal. The $12/day parking plus fees was a
little overboard, I thought.

Booked this the day before and got a good deal. We moved from the Hyatt who
could not offer us an additional night at the price we had originally booked
with.
Girl at reception was friendly, our room was ready early so we could move
straight in.
The room was a little small but clean.
The view was not brilliant but this was not an issue for us.
I would stay agian but if going to be for a few nights might pay more for a one
bedroom apartment,
Location was fine, easy walk from the centre.

Well located at a 5-min ride/ 6-7 blocks (bus or cab) to Robson Street in
Downtown and very close to the Granville market and the waterfront park. A bit
old, but an excellent value for your money for a Hotel in Downtown Vancouver.

We stayed at this hotel 3 times during our recent trip to Vancouver. Each time
we had a very pleasant stay the rooms were of a great standard ,very clean
,comfortable beds and within walking distance to the city centre. The service
from the hotel staff was very good, they were pleasant and helpful. The
complimentary bus downtown is a good service especially to the cruise terminal.
Very close to good dining and to the bus stop for the hop on - Hop off
sightseeing tour bus. Right outside door of hotel. There is a group of small
restaurants for breakfast and a Laundromat just behind the hotel on the main
street.

The rooms were spotless. I think the price was unbelievable when you compare it
to other hotels in Vancouver. A 1 star which I will not name which is also a
great hotel was double the price. The location of the Executive is wonderful.
You can walk to aquabus to Granville Island, downtown, English Bay etc.
I would never hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, and I am fussy. The
concierge Albert was so helpful. He guided us on where to eat, how to get there
and made our stay so enjoyable by always greeting us with a friendly smile and a
quick chat.
He is an asset to this hotel. The rest of the staff were also very helpful. I
would stay there just to experience Albert's great personality and love of his
job. The rooms are small but who spends a lot of time in their room. The dining
room is a hidden gem. We had the fixe price menu and was excellent value and
wonderful foodl. We had a wonderful trip to BC and staying at this hotel was one
of the highlites. We definitely will return.

The location was great. Really close to Granville Island and walk able to
everything, including the north shore Seabus.
Bed was very comfortable, sheets and towels were nice. Room was small, though
clean, full of light, fresh air, cozy and OK. Service was OK. Nothing special.

We arrived downtown around 5:30 pm on a Saturday to look for a place to stay
since we had tickets for a show at the Commodore later that evening. After
stopping at a couple other hotels closer to downtown core and found some rates
high and other hotels had poor or no parking we ventured a couple blocks further
and spotted the Executive Hotel. The front desk clerk was helpful with a smooth
check in since we had no reservation. We negotiated a fair rate with secure
parking included. The building was secure as you need your room card to get to
any floor with a room. The room was a bit small but was quite adequate, it was
clean, had a remodeled bathroom, room safe and had a great view. Since we were
running short on time we decided to try the hotel restaurant La Vallee. We had
the $35 dinner special that included choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert.
It was an exceptional gourmet meal not to be missed! On our way back to our room
we discovered the hot tub that overlooked the city............next visit we will
enjoy that.
The front desk was prompt in getting us a cab to the Commodore.........only a $7
fare.........after the show it was only a short walk back maybe 10 minutes. The
linens were new and good quality. The bed was firm, plenty of pillows, had a
good nights sleep. We will definitely stay here again but arrive earlier to take
advantage of the complimentary wine tasting late afternoons.
